    摘要: A method of selecting at least one communication link in a wireless communication network is proposed, comprising the steps of transmitting from at least one transmitting node in the network a pilot signal from each of at least two transmitter antennas of the transmitting node, receiving the pilot signals from the at least two transmitter antennas in a receiving terminal, estimating, in the terminal, a covariance matrix of the channel, based on the pilot signals received, determining the pathloss for each antenna based on the covariance matrix, selecting one of at least two possible links for the communication between the terminal and the transmitting nodes. The terminal is enabled to measure on each transmitter antenna individually, which provides a better tool for link selection and cell selection.

    摘要: A radio base station has at least two radio chains and a precoder for precoding information symbols by a precoding matrix for multi-antenna transmission to a number of user equipment terminals. Precoding matrix statistics representative of phase coherency between at least two radio chains is compiled based on feedback information representative of preferred precoding matrix from one or more user equipment terminals (S1). A relative phase error is then detected between radio chains based on the compiled precoding matrix statistics (S2). It is then possible to compensate or otherwise adjust for the detected relative phase error (S3) based on the compiled precoding matrix statistics.

    摘要: In a mobile communication system with a shared downlink traffic channel, the mobile terminals in contention for the downlink traffic channel report channel conditions to the base stations. The base station schedules the mobile terminals based on channel quality estimates from the mobile terminals and selects a transmitter configuration. The transmitter configuration may comprise, for example, the antenna configuration, and/or power and code allocations used by the base station. The base station broadcasts the transmitter configuration to all active and inactive mobile terminals. Knowledge of the transmitter configuration by the inactive mobile terminals improves the accuracy and reliability of the channel quality estimates.

    摘要: A subset of modeled impairment correlation terms are selected for use in received signal processing. According to one embodiment, a subset of modeled impairment correlation terms is selected and a composite impairment correlation term is determined based on the subset of modeled impairment correlation terms. The composite impairment correlation term may be determined by scaling the modeled impairment correlation terms included in the subset by respective model fitting parameters. The scaled modeled impairment correlation terms are then combined to form the composite impairment correlation term. The subset of modeled impairment correlation terms may be selected based on their respective model fitting parameters. In one embodiment, the modeled impairment terms having a model fitting parameter that satisfy a threshold are included in the subset while those that do not are excluded. The composite impairment correlation term may be used for received signal processing, e.g., demodulation or signal-to-interference estimation.

    摘要: A method for establishing different parameters of a surface of a work piece during machining of the surface using a spindle supporting a tool and displacement sensors for measuring displacement to which the spindle is subjected during machining. The method involves machining work pieces with different back off times to create sets of sensor signals representing spindle deflections. The machined work pieces are measured and then the stored sensor signals are compared with the measurement results of the same work pieces. Transfer constants are calculated representing the influence of the total deflection of the machine stiffness on the sensor signals. Displacement sensor signals obtained upon machining subsequent work pieces are processed with the transfer constants to give a series of sensor signals representing the true total deflection of the loaded and running machine stiffness chain to permit calculation of different parameters of the subsequently machined work pieces.
