Abstract: An information providing device according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes: at least one memory storing a set of instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the set of instructions to: receive a face image; determine whether a person in the face image is unsuitable for iris data acquisition based on the face image; and output information based on determining that the person is unsuitable for the iris data acquisition when the person is determined to be unsuitable for the iris data acquisition.

Abstract: Iris image pick-up devices perform image pick-up of an iris of a moving subject. Images from the iris image pick-up devices are written to storage areas for transfer in a memory. A readout device reads out an image stored in the storage areas for transfer to a storage area for image processing at a frame interval corresponding to the movement speed of the subject. An image processing unit executes processing using the image read out to the storage area for image processing.

Abstract: An accounting system according to the present invention include: an information display device including a first memory; and at least one first processor coupled to the first memory. The first processor performs first operations. The first operations includes: causing a first camera to image a person, and causes a display to display a code based on physical characteristics peculiar to the imaged person. An information processing device includes a second memory; and at least one second processor coupled to the second memory. The second processor performs second operations. The second operations includes: causing a second camera to image the code displayed by the information display device, acquiring accounting information of the person using the imaged code, and executing accounting processing using the accounting information.

Abstract: Iris image pick-up devices perform image pick-up of an iris of a moving subject. A guiding device guides the subject. A controller predicts a period in which the subject will blink next. Further, the controller predicts a period in which the subject will pass through the focusing point of the iris image pick-up devices. The controller controls the guiding device such that the subject does not blink at the focusing point in the case where the period in which the subject will blink next overlaps with the period in which the subject will pass through the focusing point.

Abstract: The disclosure is inputting a first image obtained by capturing an object of authentication moving in a specific direction; inputting a second image at least for one eye obtained by capturing a right eye or a left eye of the object; determining whether the second image is of the left eye or the right eye of the object, based on information including the first image, and outputting a determination result associated with the second image as left/right information; comparing characteristic information relevant to the left/right information, the characteristic information being acquired from a memory that stores the characteristic information of a right eye and a left eye pertaining to object to be authenticated, with characteristic information associated with the left/right information, and calculating a verification score; and authenticating the object captured in the first image and the second image, based on the verification score, and outputting an authentication result.

Abstract: A video decoding device includes a demultiplexing unit which demultiplexes a video bitstream including video data of an encoded slice, first Supplemental-Enhancement-Information having information indicating segments where a refresh has completed in a current picture, and second Supplemental-Enhancement-Information having information indicating a synchronization starting picture and a synchronization completed picture, an extracting unit which extracts the information indicating segments where a refresh has completed in a current picture from a message which is part of the demultiplexed Supplemental-Enhancement-Information; and a video decoding unit which decodes image data from the demultiplexed video bitstream by using at least inter prediction, wherein the synchronization starting picture is a leading picture within a refreshing period, and the synchronization completed picture is the end position of the refreshing period.

The imaging device receives the designation information from the control device, and captures an image using the mode specified by the received designation information.
