摘要: An implantable cardiac monitoring device and method of manufacture are provided. The device comprises a device housing having electronic components therein. A feedthrough assembly is joined to the device housing. The device comprises an antenna. A header body is mounted to the device housing and encloses the antenna and feedthrough assembly. The antenna includes a pin mounting section and a plate shaped radiating section. The pin mounting and radiating sections are interconnected by a ribbon section having a predetermined length to at least partially tune the antenna to a communication frequency. The radiating section is positioned proximate to, and shaped to extend along, an outer surface of the header body.

摘要: Disclosed herein is an implantable electronic device including a housing containing an electrical circuit. The implantable electronic device further includes an antenna assembly coupled to the electrical circuit. The antenna assembly includes an antenna including a dielectric antenna body within which an antenna trace is disposed. Portions of the antenna trace are disposed in offset transverse layers in a non-overlapping arrangement, thereby reducing capacitive coupling between the layers of the antenna trace. In certain implementations, the antenna assembly includes one or more capacitive features that selectively overlap portions of the antenna trace and facilitate tuning of the antenna.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an antenna structure for use in an implantable medical device. The antenna structure includes a first antenna configured to receive wireless signals within a first frequency band, a second antenna configured to receive wireless signals within a second frequency band lower than the first frequency band, and a common output connector. The first antenna includes a first end and a second, free end opposite the first end. The second antenna is connected to the first antenna at a location between the first and second ends. The common output connector is disposed at the first end of the first antenna, and is electrically coupled to the first and second antennas such that signals received by the first and second antennas are output through the common output connector.

摘要: Methods and devices are provided for managing establishment of a communications link between an external instrument (EI) and an implantable medical device (IMD). The method stores, in the IMD, an advertisement schedule that includes first and second power schemes to be utilized with advertisement notices. The first and second power schemes define at least one of i) first and second power levels for transmitting the advertisement notices or ii) first and second receive sensitivities to scan for a connection request. The method manages at least one of a transmit or receive operation of the IMD, utilizing the first and second power schemes in connection with first and second advertisement notices, respectively. The method establishes a communication session between the IMD and the EI.

摘要: The device includes radio frequency (RF) communication components installed within a case of the device and an antenna with an inverted E shape mounted within a header of the device. The antenna has three branches extending from a main arm: a capacitive branch connecting one end of the main arm to the case; an RF signal feed branch connecting a middle portion of the main arm to the internal RF components of the device via a feedthrough; and an inductive branch connecting the opposing (far) end of the main arm to the case to provide a shunt to ground.
