    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a base station may transmit an indication of a pre-compensation timing value for transmission of a random access message by an aerial user equipment (UE), the random access message part of a random access procedure between the base station and the aerial UE when the aerial UE is in a connected state. The pre-compensation timing value may be based on a location of the aerial UE. In some examples, the base station may monitor a set of random access resources associated with the pre-compensation timing value and the aerial UE for the random access message, and the aerial UE may transmit the random access message using a first random access resource of a set of random access resources associated with the pre-compensation timing value and the aerial UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method includes receiving, from a base station and at the UE of a group of UEs, control signaling indicating a link between a first search space set and a second search space set used for a multicast broadcast service, where a first downlink control channel for the group of UEs is transmitted in the first search space set and a second downlink control channel is transmitted in the second search space set, monitoring the first search space set for a first instance of control information in the first downlink control channel and the second search space set for a second instance of the control information in the second downlink control channel, and decoding the first instance or the second instance of the control information, or both, based on the monitoring.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a base station that indicates a multicast or broadcast wake up signal (WUS) format. The UE may receive a multicast or broadcast WUS from the base station during a WUS monitoring occasion of a connected mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) cycle in accordance with the control signaling. The multicast or broadcast WUS may indicate upcoming transmissions for a set of multicast or broadcast services (MBSs). If, for example, the UE is subscribed to a first MBS from the set of MBSs and the multicast or broadcast WUS indicates an upcoming transmission for the first MBS, the UE may monitor for the upcoming transmission during an active duration of the C-DRX cycle. Otherwise, the UE may enter a sleep mode to conserve power.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message from a base station including a configuration for communicating with the base station, and the base station may transmit an RRC reconfiguration complete message to the base station (e.g., in response to the RRC reconfiguration message). The UE may then apply the configuration in the RRC reconfiguration message for communicating with the base station after transmitting the RRC reconfiguration complete message. That is, the UE may delay application of the configuration in the RRC reconfiguration message until after the UE transmits the RRC reconfiguration complete message. Using these techniques, ambiguity between the base station and the UE on when the configuration is applied by the UE may be minimized, resulting in improved throughput and reduced latency in a wireless communications system.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a source base station (BS), an indication that the UE is to perform a conditional handover from the source BS to a target BS and is to perform at least one of: a two protocol stack handover from the source BS to the target BS or a dual connectivity handover from the source BS to the target BS. The UE may perform the conditional handover and at least one of the two protocol stack handover or the dual connectivity handover based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are provided.
