Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) generating a set of multimedia packets including a first multimedia packet and a second multimedia packet that is generated after the first multimedia packet. The UE may add the set of multimedia packets to a queue and apply an uplink packet handling protocol. Using the uplink packet handling protocol, the UE may discard the first multimedia packet and transmit, to a base station, the second multimedia packet. Using the second multimedia packet, a server in communication with the base station may generate a video frame and transmit the video frame to the UE via the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), such as a UE associated with an extended reality (XR) device, may obtain frame data from one or more cameras associated with the UE. The UE may determine a path of a beam providing communication between the UE and a base station, determine a location of a base station in communication with the UE, or both, where the base station location may be relative to a location of the UE. The UE may identify, based on the frame data, the path of the beam, the base station location, the UE location, or a combination thereof, a physical blockage to the communication. The UE may perform beam management for the communication based on identifying the physical blockage, so as to mitigate the impact the physical blockage may have on the communications between the UE and the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described related to a duty cycle configuration for power saving. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a duty cycle for cycling between a first power state associated with a first configuration and a second power state associated with a second configuration. In some examples, the first and second configurations may indicate a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration, restricted reception or transmission of one or more channels within the BWP configuration, or both for the UE. The UE may communicate first data traffic in accordance with the first configuration while operating in the first power state. The UE may transition from the first power state to the second power state in accordance with the duty cycle. The UE may communicate second data traffic in accordance with the second configuration while operating in the second power state.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for monitoring a service availability associated with a service of a wireless communication network. A service availability status may indicate availability of the service. A user equipment (UE) may measure signal quality or signal strength associated with frequencies that are related to services of interest to the UE. The UE may manage a service relationship for the service associated with the service availability status. For example, the UE may transmit a radio resource control (RRC) message, an non-access stratum (NAS) message, or other message to indicate the service availability status to the wireless communication network. Alternatively, or additionally, the UE may provide an indication of the service availability status to an application processor or upper layer of the UE when the service availability status changes.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for a service-based cell reselection by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE may have a service relationship with a particular service. A wireless communication system may provide different types of services via different radio frequencies. The UE may determine which cells to measure for cell reselection to include those that correspond to a service of interest to the UE. In addition to power savings, the UE may experience faster cell reselection for a service. The techniques of this disclosure also may enable a priority-based cell reselection so that the UE can camp on a cell that supports a higher priority service compared to other services supported by the UE.

In some examples, the wireless device may use the inactivity interval to communicate using a different radio access technology (RAT).

A method of wireless communication at a network access device includes receiving a random access preamble; and transmitting a random access response message that includes a plurality of uplink grants associated with the random access preamble, in which each uplink grant in the plurality of uplink grants is associated with a different transmission resource.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes receiving a first transmission according to a first radio access technology (RAT); determining a transmitter of the wireless communication device is tuned to a second RAT during a default feedback transmission time for the first transmission; and transmitting feedback for the first transmission at a delayed feedback transmission time for the first transmission. The delayed feedback transmission time is based at least in part on a timing for tuning the transmitter from the second RAT to the first RAT. Another method includes transmitting a first transmission, in which the first transmission is associated with a default feedback transmission time for the first transmission; and receiving feedback for the first transmission at a delayed feedback transmission time for the first transmission.
