摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines whether the UE is located within a sub-region of an MBSFN area based on one or more parameters. The UE receives based on the determination a service over broadcast in the sub-region of the MBSFN area or over unicast outside the sub-region. In an aspect, the MBSFN area may be smaller than a unicast area. In an aspect, adaptive retransmission with a group NACK approach may be used to improve an SNR and reliability.

摘要: A client device includes a memory comprising a buffer for buffering data having real-time constraints and a hardware-based processor comprising digital logic circuitry. The processor is configured to execute a real-time application configured to determine times during which the data will be available for download, determine a time at which the data is needed to prevent a buffer underrun for the buffer, and when the data is available, send a request for the data and deadline information representative of the time at which the data is needed to avoid the buffer underrun. In this manner, a sending device can prioritize delivery of the requested data to prevent the buffer underrun for the client device.

Moreover, the methods and apparatus comprise adjusting a state of the UE based at least in part on sending the state transition indication to the network entity.

摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. An apparatus notifies a user equipment (UE) of an upcoming multicast/broadcast of data intended for receipt by a group of UEs assigned a machine type communication (MTC) class. The UE has one or more MTC classes assigned to it and is configured to awake for the upcoming multicast/broadcast of data if the data to be broadcast corresponds to an MTC class assigned to the UE. The apparatus also multicasts/broadcasts the data intended for receipt by a group of UEs through at least one multicast/broadcast mechanism.

摘要: Various embodiments provide methods and apparatus for network-controlled DRVCC. In an embodiment method, a wireless user equipment may include requesting handover of a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) call from a first network to a second network, activating a second radio, continuing the voice call on the circuit switched (CS) domain of the second network, and communicating data for applications other than the voice call via the first network. An embodiment method may include determining whether the first network supports voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) calls, and deactivating a radio in response to determining that the first network supports VoLTE calls. An embodiment method may include determining whether a quality of the VoIP call satisfies a quality threshold, deactivating the radio continued to the second network when the quality of the VoIP call satisfies the quality threshold, and activating the second radio when the VoIP call quality does not satisfy the quality threshold.

摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which a user equipment performs an inter-radio access technology (RAT) mobility procedure from a first network to a second network while idle mode signaling reduction (ISR) is active, locally deactivates ISR in connection with completion of the inter-RAT mobility procedure, and initiates a location management procedure in the second network. Depending on the respective type of the first and second network, and the connection state of the UE with respect to the first network, the mobility procedure may be performed in response to a mobility command received from the first network, or in response to a mobility condition of the first network as detected by the UE.

In some aspects, a master node (MN) may receive information indicating one or more candidate target secondary nodes (SNs) for a multi radio access technology dual connectivity (MR-DC) handover of a user equipment (UE), wherein the information indicates that the one or more candidate target SNs are associated with direct forwarding paths with a source radio access network (RAN) node of the UE; select a target SN from the one or more candidate target SNs based at least in part on the received information; and perform the MR-DC handover of the UE, wherein the selected target SN is different than the source RAN node of the UE, and wherein a configuration of the MR-DC handover is based at least in part on a direct forwarding path between the selected target SN and the source RAN node.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications system may utilize an inter-system information report message (e.g., a self-organizing network (SON) information report message) to support inter-system mobility load balancing (MLB). For example, a first node, operating in accordance with a first radio access technology (RAT), may receive an information report message from a second node operating in accordance with a second RAT. The information report message may include a periodic load reporting request information element (IE) or an event-triggered load reporting request IE. In response, the first node may determine a traffic load based on the load reporting request and transmit, to the second node, an information report message which includes one or more IEs for reporting the determined traffic load. The exchange of the load information via the IEs may enable for MLB between nodes of different RAT.

摘要: A delta configuration is signaled for handover of a wireless communication device (e.g., a user equipment, UE) from a first form of connectivity to a second form of connectivity. For example, a UE with master cell group (MCG) connectivity may be handed-over to multiple radio access technology-dual connectivity (MR-DC). In some examples, a UE with standalone (SA) connectivity may be handed-over to non-standalone (NSA) connectivity (e.g., dual connectivity). In conjunction with this handover the UE may be signaled as to whether the UE is to reuse a configuration from the first connectivity mode during the second connectivity mode.

The method further includes transmitting, by the UE to the network device, a response to the request. The response includes first measurement results of the one or more measurement log files selected based on the at least one measurement filter and excludes second measurement results of the one or more measurement log files based on the at least one measurement filter.
