摘要: A luminaire for projecting an image comprises a housing (1) having a light emission window (2). The housing (1) accommodates a light source (3), an optical system (4) for directing light originating from the light source (3) along a longitudinal axis (5), and an image-forming surface (6) which is positioned orthogonally with respect to the longitudinal axis (5). According to the invention, the light source is a LED (3), and the optical system (4) comprises a collimating element (14) for collimating the light originating from the LED (3). Preferably, the luminaire comprises only one LED (3) which, during operation, has a luminous flux of at least 5 lm. Preferably, the housing (1) also comprises a focusing lens (15) for focusing the collimated light originating from the collimating element (14) on the image-forming surface (6) and, preferably, a projection lens (7, 7′) for projecting an image of the image-forming surface (6). Preferably, parts of the collimating element show total internal reflection. The luminaire according to the invention is a compact, lightweight, low-energy and low-maintenance luminaire.

摘要: A light emitting diode (LED) lighting system for producing white light is disclosed. The system comprises sets of LEDs arranged to emit light with different wavelength ranges and associated with different sets of characteristics, and a driving circuit arranged to drive the LEDs. The driving circuit comprises an input for desired light intensity, color rendering index, and color temperature, an input for signals for LED temperature, a model for determining driving currents for said sets of LEDs from said parameters, signals, and characteristics for each of said sets of LEDs; and a current driver for the LEDs. At least one of the sets of LEDs comprises a first subset of LEDs with a first wavelength sub-range and a first set of characteristics, and a second subset of LEDs with a second wavelength sub-range and a second set of characteristics. A lumped wavelength range of the set of LEDs is a range of said first and second wavelength sub-ranges, and the set of characteristics of the set of LEDs is a function of said first and second sets of characteristics. A method for controlling the sets of LEDs is also disclosed.

摘要: The invention relates to an electric lamp (102) comprising a primary semiconductor light source (104) in thermal communication with a primary reflector (106). Herein, the primary reflector (106) is reflective, transparent and/or translucent. The primary reflector (106) is configured for transferring heat generated by the primary semiconductor light source (104) during operation away from said primary semiconductor light source (104). As a result, the electric lamp (102) according to the invention effectively reduces the number of parts comprised in the electric lamp (102), thereby lowering the costs of manufacturing the electric lamp (102).

摘要: A lighting unit (1), comprising a bowl shaped reflector (6), and a plurality of point shaped light sources (2) arranged inside the reflector. The unit further comprises a mixing chamber (4) in which the point shaped light sources (2) are arranged, and a scattering layer (5) covering the mixing chamber (4). The scattering layer (5) is partially reflecting and partially transmitting, thereby ensuring that light emitted by the point shaped light sources (2) is mixed in the mixing chamber (4) before reaching the reflector.This allows light emitted from the mixing chamber via the reflector to be conceived as one beam. In use, light from the point shaped light sources may be reflected by the scattering layer and then scattered by the scattering layer so that the reflector generates a beam similar to a halogen beam.

摘要: The present invention relates to a color variable light-emitting device comprising an array of a plurality of LEDs formed on one highly resistive substrate, which array comprises a first, a second and a third set of at least one LED arranged to provide light of a first, a second and a third color, respectively. At least one of the sets is independently addressable. Further, each light-emitting diode in the array has a separate connection to a circuitry, and at least one of the sets comprises at least two LEDs, interconnected in series via the circuitry. Thus, all connections between separate LEDs, for example in the same set, can be done via the circuitry. This also allows for a very dense packing of the LEDs in the array, as no interconnects between different LEDs of the array need to be arranged in the array.

Each linear array of outcoupling means is arranged parallel to the linear array of light emitters. For each linear array of outcoupling means, a configuration of the outcoupling means and a configuration of the light emitters fulfill the requirement: NCU×NLC=NOU×NLO, wherein NCU is the number of clusters (C1,C2,C3, . . . ) per unit (U1, . . . ), NLC is the number of light emitters in each of the clusters, NOU is the number of outcoupling means per unit, NLO is the number of light emitters per outcoupling means. A “cluster” is the smallest repetitive collection of light emitters forming the linear array of light emitters. A “unit” is the smallest number of adjacent clusters repetitive with respect to the outcoupling means and with respect to the light emitters.

摘要: A method for controlling an angular distribution of a light-beam emitted by a light-output device (102, 200) comprising a first set of light-sources (105, 211) comprising at least one light-source configured to emit light within a first angular range (221, 231, 241) and second set of light-sources (107, 210) comprising at least one light-source configured to emit light within a second angular range (222, 232, 242), wherein the first angular range is different from the second angular range. The method comprises the steps of: receiving (401) a dimmer setting (VDS) from a dimmer (101); controlling (404), if the dimmer setting is within a first predetermined range, the first set of light-sources to emit light within the first angular range; and controlling (405), if the dimmer setting is within a second predetermined range, the second set of light-sources to emit light within the second angular range. Through the method according to the invention the angular distribution of light emitted from a single light-output device may be controlled using a single switch, thereby avoiding the need for having a plurality of switches and/or new wiring which would otherwise be required.
