Abstract:
A hybrid cable for telecommunications systems is disclosed. The hybrid cable may include a plurality of fiber-optic cables and power cables extending within an armor member and an outer jacket in a main body portion of the hybrid cable, and extending outside of the armor member and the outer jacket in a termination portion of the hybrid cable. Shielded tube assemblies may be attached to the power cables in the termination portion to provide electrical shielding to the power cables in the termination portion of the hybrid cable. The shielded tube assemblies may be attached to the armor member to electrically ground the shielded tube assemblies. A method of constructing a hybrid cable is also disclosed.

Beverages comprising rare sugars and sweetness enhancers are provided herein, wherein the sweetness enhancers are present at or below the sweetness recognition threshold concentration. Also provided are methods for improving the sweetness of a beverage comprising rare sugars by adding a sweetness enhancer in a concentration at or below its sweetness recognition threshold. Beverages comprising natural high potency sweeteners and rare sugars with sugar-like characteristics are also provided, wherein the natural high potency sweetener and rare sugars are present in particular weight ratios.

The invention provide a class of linear chain-extended polysiloxane crosslinkers which comprises two terminal ethylenically unsaturated groups, at least two polysiloxane segments, and dangling hydrophilic polymer chains each covalently attached to a divalent organic radical separating each pair of adjacent polysiloxane segments. The present invention is also related to a polymer comprising crosslinking units derived from chain-extended polysiloxane crosslinker of the invention and to ophthalmic lenses comprising such a polymer.

Fish lure includes a flexible body having a forward body having maximum width and weight tapering to an aft body having reduced width and height; and a swimming tail portion flexibly connected to the aft body, wherein the swimming tail is flared, wherein the tail increases in width and height toward a tail tip as compared with the aft body portion, and a central channel groove generally parallel to a long axis of the lure, the long axis being normal to both width and height of the lure, the channel groove extending to the tail tip and maintaining a smaller width dimension as compared to adjacent flared portions of the tail, wherein water flow across the tail is guided through the channel groove and across the flared portions of the tail to provide vertically-balanced water flow across the tail and to produce a uniform horizontal swimming movement of the tail.

An apparatus for delivering desired counts of products to containers. The apparatus includes a conveyor for moving discrete product portions along a path of travel. A force detecting device located along the path of travel measures force applied to the force detecting device. A counter adds one to a product count each time a force in a product identifying range is measured. A directing structure directs the product portions into a first container until the product count reaches a desired container count and directs the product portions into a second container after the product count reaches the desired container count.

The invention concerns compositions based on pullulan and a setting system for the use in pharmaceutical, veterinary, food, cosmetic or other products like films for wrapping food, aspics or jellies, preferably for predosed formulations like soft or hard capsules. The composition preferably further contains a surfactant. By using aqueous solution of the inventive compositions, the hard pullulan capsules are produced by a conventional dipping moulding process under the same process condition range than conventional gelatine capsules.
