Abstract: Systems and methods for providing notifications without breaking media immersion. A notification delivery application receives notification data while a media device provides a media asset. In response to receiving the notification data while the media device provides the media asset, the notification delivery application generates a voice model based on a voice detected in the media asset. The notification delivery application converts the notification data to synthesized speech using the voice model and generates, by the media device, the synthesized speech for output at an appropriate point in the media asset based on contextual features of the media asset.

Abstract: To filter unwanted sounds from a conference call, a voice profile of a first user is generated based on a first voice signal captured by a media device during a first conference call. The voice profile may be generated by identifying a base frequency of the first voice signal and determining a plurality of voice characteristics, such as pitch, intonation, accent, loudness, and speech rate. These data may be stored in association with the first user. During a second conference call, a second voice signal captured by the media device is analyzed to determine, based on the voice profile of the first user, whether the second voice signal includes the voice of a second user. If so, the second voice signal is prevented from being transmitted into the conference call. A voice profile of the second user may be generated from the second voice signal for future use.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and managing a breakout conference for a primary conference are disclosed. The system monitors communications between participants of a primary conference to determine if a) participants have a disagreement that needs to be resolved or b) if a topic from the meeting agenda requires additional time for discussion. Participant language, including negations and repetitive word usage, job profiles, body language, overlapping voice signals, among other factors, are monitored to determine if a disagreement exists. If a disagreement exists or additional time is required, the system automatically creates a virtual breakout session, determines the topic that created the disagreement, determines participants associated with the disagreed topic, and moves them to the breakout session. The system also provides meeting tools such that participants in the primary conference may communicate and alert participants in the breakout session, and vice versa, without leaving their respective sessions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a content item based on a difference between a user confidence score and a confidence score are disclosed. For example, a system generates for output a first content item. While the first content item is being outputted, the system receives user data via sensors of a device. The system determines a user confidence score based on the user data and metadata of the first content item. The user confidence score indicates a user's perceived probability of an event occurring in the future. The system calculates a prediction score which estimates the likelihood of the event occurring in the future. In response to determining that the difference between the user confidence score and the prediction score exceeds a threshold, the system selects a second content item related to the event and generates for output a recommendation comprising an identifier of the second content item.

Abstract: The system and methods described aid content delivery by providing requested content using a hybrid delivery of unicast and multicast content. A content delivery system receives, from user equipment, a request for content and identifies multicast sources for the content. Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for transmitting a content item to a user device using multiple delivery protocols. The system receives, at a content source, a request for the content item from the user device. The system splits a digital stream of the content item into a first video signal and a second video signal. The system then transmits, via a unicast server, the first video signal for the content item to the user device, and transmits, via a multicast server, the second video signal for the content item to the user device. The system then causes for presentation on the user device the first video signal followed by the second video signal. In other embodiments, the system is optimized between the unicast delivery of a content item and a peer-to-peer delivery.
