摘要: The present invention relates to a semiconductor laser control method used preferably for a reading control system such as a bar code reading device and to a semiconductor laser control device employing the above method. The object of the invention is to provide a semiconductor laser control device which can be controlled based on the output of a semiconductor laser, provides a stable laser output in a noise environment, enables easy output adjustment, and is immune to external thermal or electrical noises. In the semiconductor laser control method where the light amount of a light amount to current controllable semiconductor laser is subjected to a feedback control with a predetermined time constant while it is monitored, when the light amount is less than a predetermined value, the semiconductor laser is subjected to an feedback control with a first time constant. When the light amount is more than a predetermined value, the semiconductor laser is subjected to a feedback control with a second time constant.

摘要: A laser beam generation control system of an optical mark reader device including a laser generating element, a laser generation control unit, a laser scanner unit for scanning a mark, such as a bar code or the like, and a signal processor unit for photoconverting a reflected light to read thereof; wherein the laser beam generation control unit turns ON/OFF the laser generation element by a predetermined duty to carry out a generation of the laser intermittently. Further, when a reflected light from the mark is detected during an intermittent generation of the laser beam, the laser generation element is turned ON to generate a laser beam continuously; and when a reflected light from the mark is not detected for more than a predetermined first time period during a continuous generation of a laser beam, the system is switched from continuous generation to intermittent generation.

摘要: A semiconductor laser control method and apparatus includes a semiconductor laser, a semiconductor laser control circuit, a drive current measuring unit, a detection unit, a warning unit, and a memory unit. The memory unit stores initial drive current values and corresponding temperatures. The detection unit performs a step of comparing an actual drive current value measured by the drive current measuring unit with the initial drive current value corresponding to an actual temperature. The warning unit performing a step of generating an alarm predicting the expiration of service life of the semiconductor laser, when the actual drive current value exceeds the corresponding initial drive current value by a specified percentage. Consequently, the near expiration of the service life of the semiconductor laser can be confirmed and therefore render the operational effects such as replacement of the semiconductor laser, without causing any hindrance to the operation.

摘要: A device suitable for a laser-type bar code reader used in a POS (point of sales) system in the distribution industry, and more particularly, to a laser lighting control device in a laser scanner device which reads a bar code using a reflection light of a laser beam. A prolonged operational life and an improved reliability of the laser light source build-in device under intermittent light on/off control is achieved by monitoring its lighting time to execute the operational life control thereof. The laser lighting control device includes a laser light source, a drive unit for performing a light on/off drive of the laser light source to control the light on/off thereof, a control unit for outputting a light on/off command to the drive unit for laser light source control, and a timer unit for measuring the total lighting time of the laser light source.

摘要: A second bar code such as an add-on code which comprises only a character bar and is added to the side of the first bar code such as UPC, EAN and JAN which has a center bar and guard bar can be correctly read out. When the scanning is made from the first bar code side to the second bar code side, a write address produced when the right guard bar of the first bar code is recognized is used to access the data of the second bar code. Conversely, where the scanning is made from the second bar code side to the first bar code side, the write address produced when the center bar of the first bar code is recognized is used to access the second bar code after an arithmetic operation. Therefore, the first bar code can be clearly distinguished from the second bar code which is different in bar code system and the second bar code can be correctly read out.

摘要: A compressor compressing a fluid including lubricating oil includes, on the discharge side thereof, a first separation chamber for separating the lubricating oil by generating a swirling flow in the fluid. The first separation chamber includes: a circumferential wall; an inflow port that is formed in the circumferential wall and causes the fluid to flow into the first separation chamber; and a guiding plate extending from the circumferential wall. The guiding plate extends so as to face the inflow port in a direction where the fluid flows from the inflow port into the first separation chamber, and so as to deflect the fluid flow from the inflow port to guide it along an inner circumferential surface of the circumferential wall.
