    摘要: The present invention solves a first problem, that the damage of the TFTs on the LCD panel of the tiling panel due to the ESD during the rubbing operation and other process, and a second problem that various kinds of lower glass substrate 1 and various kinds of upper glass substrate 2 are required to provide the tiling panel. The present invention is more specifically directed to a liquid crystal display (LCD) device comprising: a left side LCD panel including a pixel array transparent substrate on which a pixel array and a short ring are formed, and an opposing transparent substrate on which a common electrode is formed; and a right side LCD panel including a pixel array transparent substrate on which a pixel array and a short ring extending along a top edge, a right edge and a bottom edge are formed, and an opposing transparent substrate on which a common electrode is formed; wherein one substrate of the pixel array transparent substrate and the opposing transparent substrate of the left side LCD panel is a lower substrate, and the other substrate is an upper substrate, wherein one substrate of the pixel array transparent substrate and the opposing transparent substrate of the right side LCD panel is an upper substrate, and the other substrate is a lower substrate, and wherein a right edge of the left side LCD panel is bonded to a left edge of the right side LCD panel, to bond the one substrate of the left side LCD panel and the other substrate of the right side LCD panel and to bond the other substrate of the left side LCD panel and the one substrate of the right side LCD panel.

    摘要: A method for applying the sealing material onto the corner regions of the substrate to realize the liquid crystal cell with large display region. A protrude region 100 is formed on each of the side regions adjacent to a display region of a first substrate 20. A difference of level is formed at each boundary of the side region and the corner region on one surface of the first substrate 20 for providing the corner region with a height which is lower than a height of the side region. A sealing material 30 is applied on the side regions and the corner regions on the one surface of the first substrate 20 by a tool for dispensing the sealing material 30. When a second substrate 10 is positioned on the applied sealing material 30 on one surface of the first substrate 20, a distance between the first substrate 20 and the second substrate 10 is decreased and the sealing material 30 applied on the first substrate 20 is collapsed.

    摘要: Corresponding edge faces of first and second blank materials disposed in a horizontal plane are aligned on a predetermined welding line. A positioning member is provided which comes in contact with and can be withdrawn from one edge face of the first blank material on the welding line. A base end of the first blank material is supported by a supporting mechanism, the vicinity of one end face of the first blank material is gripped by the first clamp, the first clamp withdraws from the welding line so as to cause the first blank material to buckle. In this state, the first blank material is pressed against the positioning member and fixed by a second clamp. In this way, the end face of the first blank material is precisely positioned on the welding line. After the withdrawal of the positioning member from the welding line, the second blank material is pressed against the first blank material until the second blank material is buckled. In this way the blank materials are brought into intimate contact without any gaps between them.

    摘要: A toner for developing an electrostatic image is constituted by a composition containing a binder resin component and a coloring agent, wherein the binder resin component contains a low-molecular weight component having a molecular weight of at most 5.times.10.sup.4 and a branching index g' of below 1. The low-molecular weight polymer component is preferably obtained by polymerizing a second monomer in mixture with a prepolymer in the presence of a polymerization initiator comprising a peroxide having a functional group of: ##STR1## and mixed with a high-molecular weight polymer component obtained by polymerization in the presence of a poly-functional polymerization initiator, and a low-molecular weight wax. The resultant toner is characterized by a good balance between the fixability and anti-offset characteristic.

    摘要: An electrophotographic toner composition suitable for heat-fixation and showing good storage characteristics is constituted by polymer components, a colorant and a metal-containing organic compound. The toner composition shows a melt index (at 125.degree. C., 10 kg-load) of 5-25 g/10 min., and the polymer components are characterized by (a) containing substantially no THF (tetrahydrofuran)-insoluble content, (b) including a THF-soluble content thereof providing a GPC (gel permeation chromatography) chromatogram showing i) a main peak in a molecular weight region of 2.times.10.sup.3 -3.times.10.sup.4, and a sub-peak or shoulder in a molecular weight region of at least 10.sup.5, and ii) an areal percentage of 3-10% in a molecular weight region of at least 10.sup.6, and (c) including a polymer component (H) in a molecular weight region of at least 10.sup.5 obtained by polymerization using a polyfunctional polymerization initiator and a monofunctional polymerization initiator.
