Abstract: A chain is constructed by alternately connecting a pair of outer link plates connected together with pins and a pair of inner link plates connected together with bushings into which adjacent pins of adjacent pairs of outer link plates are inserted. On the outer and inner surfaces of component parts of the chain, a lubricant composition for chains containing 95% to 80% by mass of a lubricant which is liquid at room temperature and 5% to 20% by mass of a wax which is solid at room temperature and having a consistency of from 60 to 475 and a dropping point of from 60° C. to 120° C., is adhered.

Abstract: A die cast mold release lubricant comprises a silicone compound. A method of application of the lubricant to a die cast mold as a release agent is disclosed where a die casting machine has a mold with mold halves forming a mold cavity when the mold halves abut against one another, a shot sleeve and a plunger which pushes molten material through the shot sleeve and into the mold cavity. The mold release agent is placed into the shot sleeve remote from the mold cavity, molten material is introduced into the shot sleeve, and the molten material and the mold release agent are forced into the mold cavity by movement of the plunger into the shot sleeve. The silicone compound preferably has a melting point of about 90-220° F., and a molecular weight of about 5500-50,000.

Abstract: Improved performance of two-cycle and four-cycle engines is achieved by adding to the oil or fuel of such engines a composition that contains a copolymer of an alpha-olefin and a dialkyl fumarate or maleate and/or a synthetic diester compound that has about 30 carbon atoms. For two-cycle engines, the composition preferably contains both chemicals, in addition to an octane booster such as methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl. For four-cycle engines, the composition contains at least one of the copolymer and diester, in addition to a molybdenum or bismuth salt, dimercapto 1,3,4-thiadiazole and sulfur-phosphorous EP and/or chlorinated paraffin. The composition can also act to improve gear and grease lubrication and provide improved lubricity to fuels.
