摘要: A method for displaying physical address of data storage media residing within an automated data storage library. A drive, including a drive processor and a drive display, recognizes a load display request received from a host computer/application that includes an identification of a data storage medium. The drive generates a request for the physical address of the data storage medium corresponding to the identification and transmits the request to a library controller. The library controller looks up the corresponding physical address and transmits it back to the drive, where it is displayed on the drive display.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for dynamically compressing categories in a data storage library. In one embodiment, the method includes retrieving an identification of a first category in the data storage library, the first category being a last-compressed category. Next, an identification number of a first order of the first category is retrieved, the first order being a last compressed order. Compression is resumed of orders in the first category with an order next following the first order and continued with additional orders in the first category. If a predetermined amount of time has elapsed, the identification of the first category and the identification number of the order of the first category being compressed are stored. If, however, the predetermined amount of time has not elapsed and compression of the first category is complete, compression of a second category is begun.

摘要: An intramedullary nail assembly for use in a medullary canal of a long bone is provided. The assembly includes a nail for positioning at least partially in the medullary canal. The nail includes an aperture therethrough. The assembly also includes a screw fittably positioned in the aperture of said nail. The screw has a shank defining a end and a periphery of the shank. A portion of the periphery defines a thread form. The thread form includes a first flank, a crest adjacent the first flank and a second flank spaced from the first flank and adjacent the crest. The crest and the first flank form a first angle therebetween. The crest and the second flank form a second angle therebetween. The first angle and the second angle are different from each other.

摘要: A system, apparatus and method for controlling environmental zones in a residence or other building using radio frequency enabled environmental controllers. At least one damper is associated with each of the various zones. From each environmental controller, a command is wirelessly transmitted, where the command includes an environmental control command and a respective unique identifier associated with the environmental controller. The command is received at a zone controller, and each environmental controller is bound with a respective one of the zones using the respective unique identifier associated with the environmental controller. The damper(s) associated with the zone that is bound with the environmental controller associated with the unique identifier from the command are operated in response to the zone controller. Environmental adjustment equipment is operated, which is responsive to the zone controller to execute the environmental control command.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a bevel gear member, comprises the steps of providing a bevel gear blank having a gearhead, forming gear teeth on the gearhead of the bevel gear blank by simultaneously cutting gear tooth top land, gear tooth side profile and a bottom land to form an unfinished bevel gear member using a face hobbing process, and machining at least one selected surface of the unfinished bevel gear member using the top lands of said gear teeth as a datum for centering the unfinished bevel gear member, thus forming a finished product. The method is applicable for manufacturing the bevel gear member both with shaft axially extending from the gearhead and without the shaft. The bevel gear members manufactured with this method exhibit reduced runout and require simpler, less expensive tooling.

摘要: A device, method, and system for switching library managers of a data library while maintaining data library storage devices online. A library manager accepts and executes data transaction commands for access to data residing on the storage devices of the data library. A transition manager module receives a directive to transition library management functions from a first library manager to a second library manger. The transition manager module stops the first library manager from accepting new data transaction commands while maintaining the storage devices online. The first library manager may execute previously accepted data transaction commands. The transition manager module suspends the library management functions of the first library manager and activates the library management functions of the second library manager. The storage devices of the data library may complete data transaction commands throughout the library manager transition.

摘要: A wet base boiler of the multi-sectioned type, that is, a boiler in which the fire box is surrounded by water. Each heat exchanger section of the boiler being arranged and constructed to provide an improved heat transfer surface when contacted by the heated gases emanating from the fire box. The heat transfer surface of each section comprises opposing parallel walls having a plurality of equispaced ribs disposed thereon to define a curvilinear path between adjacent ribs, the ribs formed on one wall of a heat exchanger section being antisymmetrical with the ribs formed on the opposing wall of the heat exchanger section, each rib of each wall having spaced fins or cusps and each fin or cusp having a height so as to be spaced from the fins branching from the ribs of an adjacent heat exchanger section.

摘要: Bowls and methods for scrubbing objects are disclosed. The bowls or optionally removable liners in said bowls include a plethora of bristles or mesh material which provides an abrasive surface against which objects can be scrubbed. The bowls may optionally incorporate extendable sections for the purpose of suspending the bowls from the sides of a sink. In one embodiment, a circular version of the bowl may be configured to double as a spinner bowl inside a salad spinner and in other embodiments apertures with abrasive material inside may be provided for scrubbing narrow items such as carrots. Larger industrial-size versions of the bowl may be constructed for use in restaurants, or for the purpose of scrubbing non-food products, such as mechanical parts. The shape, depth and diameter of the bowls as well as the type of abrasive materials used inside these bowls can vary to suit the application.
