摘要: A communication control unit and a communication control system are provided in which control devices can synchronously operate. In a communication control system in which a communication control unit and multiple control devices having an actuator to operate a control target are connected via a network, the communication control unit provides a control command to the control devices, synchronizes times of the communication control unit and the control devices, obtains communication delays relative to the control devices, collects control start times of the control devices, obtains a time by subtracting the control start time from a predetermined time as a start time of the control device, calculates a time obtained by subtracting the communication delay from the start time for each control device, and transmits the control command to the control devices before the earliest time of the calculated times.

摘要: To reset only the CPU in a component in an abnormal condition without affecting CPUs of components in a normal condition, a multi-component system, in which a plurality of components each including at least a CPU are connected via a common bus to each other, includes a first reset signal generating unit which generates a reset signal by a switch operation to send the reset signal to respective components and a judge unit which is disposed in each component to determine whether or not resetting of a CPU is allowed. The judge unit inhibits, if the CPU is in a normal condition, the resetting of the CPU in response to the reset signal and resets, if the CPU is in an abnormal condition, the CPU in response to the reset signal.

摘要: A feedback control device capable of continuously performing high-accuracy, stable control even in cases where any of multiple controllers for controlling a controlled system becomes incapable of control action. A controller (master controller) generates control data for stably controlling a heater by feedback control, controls the heater in accordance with the control data, and sends the control data to the other controller (slave controller). The slave controller receives the control data from the master controller but does not control the heater while the master controller is operating normally. If the master controller develops anomaly and becomes incapable of normal control action, the slave controller initiates feedback control of the heater in accordance with the control data received from the master controller immediately before the anomaly occurred, and controls the heater thereafter in accordance with control data generated thereby.

摘要: A reflective layer for reflecting light incident from a second substrate side and transmitting through a second electrode made of ITO or the like is formed above a first substrate, a switching element provided for each pixel, and an insulating film covering the switching element, the reflective layer being insulated from the switching element. A first electrode having a work function similar to the second electrode and made of a transparent conductive material such as ITO is formed more proximate to a liquid crystal layer than is the reflective layer and is connected to the switching element. The thickness of the first electrode is set to 100 Å or less or in a range approximately from 750 Å to 1250 Å. Alternatively, the switching element maybe connected to the reflective electrode, the first electrode and the reflective electrode which are formed with an insulating film therebetween may be capacitively coupled, and the first electrode may be driven by the reflective electrode via the capacitor.

摘要: For obtaining p-Si by irradiating a laser beam to an a-Si layer to polycrystallize, an energy level in a region to be irradiated by the laser beam is set such that a level at the rear area of the region along a scan direction of the laser beam is lower than that at the front area or the center area of the region. The energy level at the front area or the center area of the region is set such that it is substantially equal to or more than the upper limit energy level which maximizes a grain size of the p-Si obtained. Since an energy profile is set as described above, when the laser beam is scanned on the a-Si layer, an irradiated energy of the laser on the region is gradually lowered from the upper limit as the laser beam passes through, which allows the semiconductor layer to be annealed within an optimal energy level during the latter half of the annealing process.

摘要: Powder desiccant is mixed into a seal which adheres a first substrate to a second substrate, thereby sealing a display region. Almost no moisture permeates through the outer surfaces of the substrates sandwiching the display region, while moisture permeating through the seal is adsorbed by the desiccant. An emissive layer is thereby prevented from deterioration due to moisture. By covering the display region with a resin sealing layer composed of resin having desiccant mixed therein, the display region can reliably be protected from moisture. By forming a groove in the substrate and placing a desiccant therein, moisture can be further reliably adsorbed.
