Abstract: Systems and methods described herein enable dynamic in-app subscriptions and controls for network slices. A user device receives a command to launch an application and identifies a preferred network slice for the application. The application determines that a network services subscription for the user device does not include the preferred network slice and obtains consent, from a user of the user device, to add the preferred network slice to the network services subscription. The user device receives, from a provider network, authorization for using the preferred network slice by the application and initiates a network session on the preferred network slice.

Abstract: A method, device, and computer-readable medium are provided for sending, by a customer-premises equipment (CPE) device to a wireless access device via a CPE network interface, an Internet protocol (IP) address lease request, wherein the wireless access device terminates a wireless backhaul connection to a service provider network; receiving, responsive to the IP address lease request, an acknowledge message that includes a requested IP address and a protocol configuration option (PCO) providing identification information for the wireless access device; connecting, via the wireless access device and using the requested IP address, to a bootstrap server device associated with the service provider network; receiving, via the wireless access device, attachment information associated with a network management server and the service provider network; and sending, via the wireless access device, the identification information to the network management server in an attachment procedure using the attachment information.

Abstract: A device can receive a system information data from a cell and obtain cell metadata from the system information data, the cell metadata including at least one of: a cell identifier, or a cellular parameter. The device can determine, based on the cell metadata, that the cell is of a particular cell type of multiple cell types, including: a fifth generation long term evolution (LTE) cell type, a fifth generation new radio (NR) sub-6 GHz cell type, and a fifth generation NR millimeter wave cell type. Based on the particular cell type, the device can perform an action, including causing display of an indicator on a display of the device.

The processor may be further configured to detect a 5G wireless signal associated with the provider; determine a signal strength for the detected 5G wireless signal; and generate an indication of the determined signal strength to be displayed in a user interface associated with the fixed wireless access device.
