Abstract:
A slot nozzle for a flow medium is formed by a pair of side walls joined together by a connecting wall with a weakened zone that forms a hinge between the side walls. The slot width of the nozzle is adjustable by relative adjustment of the two side walls defining the slot, on the one hand by the pressure of the flow medium disposed in the slot nozzle acting in the sense of opening the slot and on the other hand by the counter pressure of a fluid acting in the sense of closing the slot.
Abstract:
An application device and a method of use for the lubrication of a chain drive, more preferably for motorcycle chain drives or the like, includes a rail device. The rail device having a longitudinal side that can be brought to bear against a chain of the chain drive. The rail device includes a contact region formed of a consumable solid lubricant that can be applied to the chain and that can be brought in contact with the chain.

Abstract:
A camera holder (3) is provided for fixing a camera (11) or a camcorder to an optical observation device. The holder (3) has a variable-length sleeve (13) with a first end configured to receive the camera objective and a second end configured to secure the sleeve (13) relative to the optical observation device. The holder (3) also has an adjusting device (19) fixed to the sleeve (13). The adjusting device (19) has a pin for connection with a stand mating thread of a camera (11) and is configured to compensate for an offset between the stand mating thread and the camera objective. The adjusting device (19) enables the camera (11) to be positioned with respect to the sleeve and the optical observation device.
Abstract:
A gas pressure switch is provided for an ignition and safety system for ammunition. The switch includes a housing; a piston actuator within the housing, the piston actuator being displaceable from an idle position to a contacting position by propellant gases of the ammunition during use; at least two contact pins that are attached immovably to the housing; a contacting device operatively associated with the piston actuator and located on a first side of the piston actuator, the first side being opposite a second side on which the propellant gases act during use, the contacting device connecting electrically to the contact pins when the piston actuator is in the contacting position; and a locking pin which holds the piston actuator in the idle position until a predetermined gas pressure is reached and which shears off when the predetermined gas pressure is reached, so that the piston actuator can be displaced into the contacting position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the discontinuous wet treatment of a hank of fabric in at least one cycle of the fabric through a treatment compartment. In order to achieve a rapid and reliable wet treatment with a relatively simple construction, the treatment compartment is divided into two treatment chambers which lie parallel adjacent to one another, so that with each circulation of the fabric two sections of fabric running parallel to one another are treated simultaneously in two similar treatment chambers of the same treatment compartment which serve for the same type of treatment.
Abstract:
A biomass containing biologically produced indigo or a derivative thereof which is used for dyeing without isolating the indigo dye from the rest of the solid biomass before dyeing. Cotton dyeings of clean pure shade can be obtained by a vat dyeing procedure which have the usual fastness properties associated with the active substance.
Abstract:
The invention relates to apparatus for inflating a continuously moving length of tubular material, in which the nozzle tube is rotatable and an arrangement is provided which locks the nozzle tube in an angular position in which the nozzle is in contact with the length of material during the discharge of gas from the nozzle. Such apparatus is distinguished during the greater part of the production time by a considerable reduction in the friction between the length of material and the nozzle tube.
Abstract:
A dyeing or printing process for substrates consisting of synthetic or semi-synthetic, high molecular organic substances of hydrophobic character, performed with an organic dyestuff which is dispersed in a liquid organic compound containing a dissolved alkyd resin acting as a dispersing agent.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compounds of formula I, ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 signifies a divalent, mono- or binuclear aromatic radical of the carbocylic or heterocyclic series, R.sub.2 signifies a hydrogen atom or an unsubstituted or substituted (C.sub.1-4)alkyl, phenyl, naphthyl or mono-or fused binuclear heterocyclic radical which is bound through a carbon atom, R.sub.3 signifies an oxygen atom or a group of formula >N--R.sub.5 in which R.sub.5 has one of the significances given above for R.sub.2, and each of the R.sub.4 's independently, signifies a mono- or binuclear aromatic radical of the carbocyclic or heterocyclic series,Or mixtures of such compounds, which compounds and mixtures are useful as colorants.
