Abstract: A test probe head for probing integrated circuit (IC) chips and method of making test heads. The test head includes an array of vias (e.g., annular vias or grouped rectangular vias) through, and exiting one surface of, a semiconductor layer, e.g., a silicon layer. The vias, individual test probe tips, may be on a pitch at or less than fifty microns (50 μm). The probe tips may be stiffened with SiO2 (and optionally silicon) extending along the sidewalls. A redistribution layer connects individual test probe tips externally. The probe tips may be capped with a hardening cap that also caps stiffening SiO2 and silicon along the tip sidewall.

Abstract: An approach to providing failure protection in a loosely-coupled cluster environment. A node in the cluster generates checkpoints of application data in a consistent state for an application that is running on a first node in the cluster. The node sends the checkpoint to one or more of the other nodes in the cluster. The node may also generate log entries of changes in the application data that occur between checkpoints of the application data. The node may send the log entries to other nodes in the cluster. The node may similarly receive external checkpoints and external log entries from other nodes in the cluster. In response to a node failure, the node may start an application on the failed node and recover the application using the external checkpoints and external log entries for the application.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for recording videos in a video call. The method includes: determining a key voice input end of the video call and acquiring an image of the key voice input end; storing audio data of the video call; synthesizing the acquired image and audio, and then writing the synthesized image and audio into a recorded video file. The present invention solves the defect that the existing video call methods can not record flexibly by determining a source of a key voice, acquiring an image corresponding to the key voice, and synthesizing the image and a recorded audio, so that the sound and the image in the recorded video can be displayed correspondingly, and since only the image of the key voice input end in the call is displayed, the image in the recorded video is clearer.

Abstract: Various embodiments for automated error recovery in a computing storage environment by a processor device are provided. In one embodiment, pursuant to performing one of creating a new and rebuilding an existing logical partition (LPAR) operable in the computing storage environment by a hardware management console (HMC) in communication with the LPAR, at least one failure scenario is evaluated by identifying error code. If a failure is caused by an operation of the HMC and a malfunction of a current network connection, a cleanup operation is performed on at least a portion of a current HMC configuration, an alternative network connection to the current network connection is made, and a retry operation is performed.

Abstract: A method for managing haul routes in work environments comprises receiving performance criteria associated with a haul route and establishing a target total effective grade for at least one machine associated with the haul route based on the performance criteria. The method also includes collecting performance data associated with the at least one machine. A drive axle torque of the at least one machine is determined and an actual total effective grade associated with the at least one machine is estimated. The at least one machine is identified as an underperforming machine if the actual total effective grade for the at least one machine exceeds the target total effective grade. An average total effective grade for the at least one machine is determined as a function of the actual total effective grade. A haul route deficiency is identified if the average total effective grade exceeds a threshold level.
