Abstract:
In an air conditioner, the control of the airflow rate is effected by utilizing both the temperature deviation between the room temperature and a set temperature and an air-mix damper position as a proportional control factor with the airflow rate compensation being based on an incremental integer control factor which has been derived from the temperature deviation.
Abstract:
In an apparatus for controlling operation of an automatic door with minimum error in a detected door position, a motion sensor is positioned relative to a movable driving member coupled to the door. Pulses having a pulse repetition rate are created in direct proportion to a velocity of movement of the driving member. The pulses are counted and current position of the door determined. Any error arising from a loss or slip in an intermediate transmission mechanism which couples a motor with the final driving member is substantially eliminated. A pair of motion sensing elements as opto-electronic couplers may be provided for sensing a phase relationship between the sensing elements defining a direction of door movement. A pulse interval monitor adapted to generate a signal indicative of a long lapse of time between adjacent pulses from the sensing element may be provided. A sequence control circuit responsive to this generated signal generates a stop command for the motor.
Abstract:
A silent chain 1 in which a plurality of links 2 each having a pair of tooth parts 21 which mesh with sprockets and a pair of pin holes 20 are arranged in the lengthwise direction and thickness direction and are linked so as to be able to pivot about one another by linking pins 5 which are inserted into the pin holes 20, and sliding plates 3 are provided. The sliding plates 3 have a pair of pin holes 30 into which the linking pins 5 are inserted, and also have a back surface part 3a which has a greater back surface height h2 than the back surface height h1 of the links 2 and comes into contact with a tensioner arm or chain guide. The sliding plates 3 do not have tooth parts which mesh with the sprockets.
Abstract:
A silent chain 1 in which a large number of link plates 2 comprising a pair of tooth parts 22 and pin holes 21 are stacked in the thickness direction and the length direction and are linked by linking pins 3, and guide plates 4 are mounted on the linking pins 3. The guide plates 4 are arranged in guide rows G at a central position in the width direction and at positions at both ends in the width direction, and the height H of the back part of each guide plate 4 is greater than the height h of the back parts of the link plates 2.
Abstract:
Copper-containing nanoparticles with excellent oxidation resistance is provided. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing copper-containing nanoparticles including obtaining copper-containing nanoparticles that contain an organic component by heat treating an organic copper compound at a temperature equal to or higher than a decomposition initiation temperature of the compound and lower than a complete decomposition temperature of the compound in a non-oxidative atmosphere in the presence of an organic material containing a 1,2-alkanediol having 5 or more carbon atoms and/or a derivative thereof.
Abstract:
In a method of driving a liquid crystal panel, an overshoot signal is applied to the liquid crystal panel to display images on the liquid crystal panel. An overshoot level C is selected from a plurality of overshoot levels Dn. In this selecting, difference values between momentary values of a response waveform gn and momentary values of an ideal waveform f are obtained and added for a predetermined period and a minimum first error value E1 is obtained. One of the overshoot levels Dn corresponding to the response waveform gn having the minimum first error value E1 is selected as the overshoot level C. One of the overshoot levels Dn is selected by using an average value from the values obtained for the predetermined period similarly to humans' recognition of the liquid crystal display element. Accordingly, tailing or an image failure is less likely to occur.

The invention provides processes for the recovery of a catalyst which are to be applied to the reactions wherein boron trifluoride or a complex thereof is used as the catalyst, that is, (I) a process for the recovery of a catalyst which comprises using as the reaction solvent a solvent containing a hydrofluorocarbon compound and/or an oxygenic hydrofluorocarbon compound and, after the completion of the reaction, separating the reaction solvent from the reaction mixture; and (II) a process for the recovery of a catalyst which comprises extracting boron trifluoride or a complex thereof from the reaction mixture after the completion of the reaction by using a hydrofluorocarbon compound and/or an oxygenic hydrofluorocarbon compound as the extracting solvent. According to the processes, boron trifluoride or complexes thereof used as catalyst can be easily separated from the reaction mixtures and re-used.
Abstract:
An abrasive sheet has an abrasive particle layer formed on a surface of a thin flexible resin film. The abrasive sheet is produced by the steps of preparing a releasable film, forming a thin flexible resin film layer on a release agent applied surface of the releasable film and forming an abrasive particle layer on an upper surface of the resin film layer. Thereafter, the resin film having the abrasive particle layer formed thereon is removed from the releasable film, and the resin film having the abrasive particle layer formed thereon is cut into any suitable size. The abrasive sheet can provide higher polishing power during the polishing operation, but it polishes a surface while tracing or following any orange peel on the surface. Therefore, the abrasive sheet is effective for use as the polishing tool that can replace the fine compound buffing process currently utilized in the automobile repairing industry.
