摘要: Provided is an IV flow controller which adjusts the amount of an IV material supplied to a patient through an IV tube and to which a flushing feature is added. The IV controller according to the present invention includes: a first body unit, a second body unit, a fixed roller, and a driving roller. The fixed roller is fixedly and rotatably arranged, and has a first gear unit and a second gear unit. The driving roller is accommodated such that a portion thereof is exposed, and the driving roller is moved along the lengthwise direction while controlling the flow of the IV when the exposed portion is turned. Also, in the flushing position, the driving roller rotates in cooperation with the first gear unit of the fixed roller across the IV tube so as to flush the latter. The second gear unit of the fixed roller may be configured so as to have a ratchet gear, and the second body unit has a pawl which meshes with the ratchet gear of the fixed roller in order to prevent reverse rotation. According to the present invention, flushing in the reverse direction is prevented by the ratchet gear, and thus medical accidents caused by reverse flushing can be prevented.

摘要: Provided herein is a system including a pre-filled syringe with a barrel defining a chamber containing a solution therein and a fluid connector component at the distal end of the barrel. A plunger assembly including a plunger and a stopper is movable within the barrel, with the plunger including a channel extending along a length thereof. An access device is positioned at the proximal end of the plunger and includes a receiving cavity and a fluid access component, the receiving cavity having an opening aligned with the channel and the fluid access component positioned over the opening and extending into the receiving cavity. A cannula is positioned within the barrel and extends through the stopper, the cannula placing the fluid connector component in fluid communication with the channel. A closure assembly is secured to the fluid connector component and includes a seal member configured to seal off a lumen thereof.

摘要: A phacoemulsification system includes a phacoemulsification probe and a processor. The phacoemulsification probe includes (a) a needle configured for insertion into a lens capsule of an eye, and to be vibrated to emulsify a lens of the eye, (b) an irrigation channel for flowing irrigation fluid into the lens capsule, (c) an aspiration channel for removing material from the lens capsule, (d) a bypass channel fluidly coupled with the irrigation channel and with the aspiration channel, (e) a processor-controlled valve configured to control a level of fluid communication between the irrigation channel and the aspiration channel via the bypass channel, and (f) one or more sensors configured to measure fluid pressure at a distal portion of one or both of the irrigation channel and the aspiration channel. The processor is configured to adaptively adjust the valve based on the fluid pressure measured by the one or more sensors.

摘要: An intravascular catheter care device comprising a flush syringe having an integrated disinfecting unit associated therewith and a method for disinfecting an intravascular catheter, wherein the disinfecting unit includes a first disinfecting pad enclosed between a first and second layer of a flexible peel film. The first layer can be removed from the second layer to expose the first disinfecting pad. A second disinfecting pad can be enclosed between either the second layer of the peel film and a third layer of the peel film or between a second layer of the peel film and a cap that can be secured to the connector. The second layer can be removed from the third layer or the cap to expose the second disinfecting pad. The first pad can be used to disinfect the connector of the intravascular catheter prior to flushing and the second pad can be used after flushing.

摘要: Systems and methods of micro-infusion of medical fluids are disclosed. Micro-infusion systems may include a pump, a patient interface, tubing between the pump and the interface, and a micro-infusion device along the tubing. A first portion of the tubing above the micro-infusion device is longer than a second portion of the tubing below the device. The micro-infusion device may include a chamber in-line with the tubing, a first valve between the chamber and the first portion of the tubing, a second valve between the chamber and the second portion of the tubing and a third valve between the chamber and a dump chamber. The second valve may be slidably disposed within the chamber. A medical fluid may be provided into the chamber that slides the second valve displacing another fluid in the chamber through the third valve into the dump chamber.
