Abstract:
A pre-compression pump (10) dispenses microdoses of fluid (F). The pump minimizes pulsing due to pressure fluctuations. The pump is provided with the following to limit pulsing: a low force slow return velocity return spring (46); enlarged fluid passage (58); elastic bumper (74); and, a rachet tooth (76) bearing against the stem (44). Further, a deflectable diaphragm (90), a splined (70) stem (44), no dip tube, and an off-center, gravitational low-point pump inlet (62) assist in printing the pump. The pump includes a stem (44) with deflectable fingers (92) to ensure sufficient momentum in pump operation. Detents (118) and grooves (120) selectively lock a nozzle cap (14) in an inoperative position. To ensure cleanliness, nozzle (60) cleaning is provided, wiping of the nozzle to remove meniscus (M) therefrom, cuts (104) formed in a shroud (98) assist in drawing excess fluid from the nozzle, and an empty volume (108) for collecting fluid run-off from the nozzle. A handle (H) is mounted to the pump providing a grip.
Abstract:
A water stopping and infiltration-proof structure for a lotion spray nozzle, which is accomplished by adopting a water-stopping flange that is integrated with the cover top and is expanded from the top of the straight shaft tube, together with female and mate threading that are moved outwards along with the spray nozzle's bottom rim and the integrated cover's rim. This will enable the water-stopping flange to wipe off water drops on the piston shaft surface, and prevent water on the integrated cover top from infiltrating into the shaft tube.
Abstract:
An emulsion pump mainly comprises a piston rod, a pressing head, a screw-topped sleeve, a cylinder, a spring, a rubber pipe and a gasket. Among them, the upper screw thread of the cylinder engages with a screw thread portion of the screw-topped sleeve. The width of the teeth of the upper end screw thread of the cylinder is A, the width of the gullet the screw thread portion of the screw-topped sleeve which is connected with the screw thread of the cylinder is B, and B is greater than A, thereby a gap exists between them; in addition, a gap is also formed between the contact surface of the upper end of the cylinder and the lower surface of the top portion of the screw-topped sleeve, thereby an air channel for preventing liquid entrance is formed in the emulsion pump.
Abstract:
A manually operable dispensing pump for application to liquid containers, in which the pump has a hollow stem which projects from a hole provided in a flange forming part of the pump, the stem having a profiled annular part which seals against a profiled seat on the flange when the pump is in its rest state, there projecting all about said flange seat a skirt within which the annular part of the stem slides and seals.
Abstract:
An aerosol for dispensing a liquid, in particular in the form of a foam, at least including a liquid container and a dispensing assembly which is coupled thereto. The dispensing assembly includes a liquid pump and an actuating head, the actuating head having a closed, circumferential protective cap. The aerosol furthermore includes a circumferential recess, into which the protective cap can move, which recess includes a closed inner wall, an outer wall and a base, and one or more outlet openings are present in the vicinity of the base of the recess, wherein the shape of the recess is such that the inner wall, on the side which is remote from the base, is at a radial distance p from the protective cap, which distance p is greater than the usual clearance distance of the protective cap with respect to the inner wall.
Abstract:
A dispenser for transferring a liquid from a container includes a dispenser body having a first end, a second end and an inner surface. The first end has an aperture through which the body is capable of receiving at least a portion of the liquid. A valve stem is slidably disposed within the dispenser body in engagement with the inner surface proximate to the first end for movement between a first position and a second position. The valve stem and the dispenser body are configured to limit the motion of the valve stem between the first and second positions to linear motion. The dispenser may include at least one thread disposed on a generally outwardly facing surface of a dispenser body capable of releasably threadably engaging the nozzle when the nozzle is in the closed position.
Abstract:
An aerosol for dispensing a liquid, in particular in the form of a foam, is provided. The aerosol includes a liquid container and a dispensing assembly which is coupled thereto at least in liquid-tight manner. The dispensing assembly includes a liquid pump with a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet, and an actuating head, the actuating head including an outlet passage and a dispensing opening for dispensing the liquid, while the actuating head furthermore includes a closed, circumferential protective cap.
Abstract:
An atomized liquid dispenser, comprising a pump and a dispensing head mounted on the stem of the pump, the head defining a chamber communicating with the stem and housing a movable piston urged by a spring to close a discharge nozzle provided at one end of the chamber. From the head there extends a skirt in which cuts are provided which define a flexible tang engaging one end of said piston projecting from said chamber. From the inner surface of the tang there projects a cam which, when the pump is operated, interferes with the pump or with an element rigid with it, to cause the tang to flex outwards and axially entrain the piston, so withdrawing it from the discharge nozzle.
Abstract:
A seal device for hand pumps for dispensing a substance such as paste or liquid products from bottles containing such products, wherein upper closure element of the pump is formed of elastically deformable plastic material. In an axial hole of the closure element there is provided an annular lip defining a circular aperture of diameter slightly less than that of a corresponding part of the pump stem to ensure a seal between the stem and closure element during pump operation even when the bottle is inclined or inverted, while allowing a certain quantity of air to be drawn in to compensate the quantity of substance dispensed. The stem collar has on its upper face a coaxial annular seal rib which engages against the lower face of the closure element under the thrust action of a spring to provide a seal when the pump is not under operation.
Abstract:
A vented pump and pre-loaded spring for dispensing liquid at a controlled rate from a container upon depression of a plunger or stem. A pump body extends within the container and houses the stem and piston. The lower end of the stem functions as an inlet valve. The piston is slidable on the stem between upper and lower stop limits and seals the outlet passage in the stem when the plunger is in a raised position. An initial downward movement of the plunger closes the inlet valve and then, after a slight build up of pressure within the pump chamber, moves the outlet passage downwardly of the piston into communication with the pump chamber below the piston. Continued downward motion of the stem moves the piston downwardly and expels the liquid through the outlet passage while maintaining a constant seal at the inlet valve. A sealing disc cooperates with the plunger or stem to prevent air from entering the container when the stem is in the raised position and to allow air to enter the container through a fluid vent passage formed between cooperating surfaces of the container, stem, disc and pump body when the stem is moved toward the down position. A variety of types of fluid vent passages are provided, such as, a plurality of rounded knurls on the outside surface of the pump body to assure an open fluid vent passage after the pump body is crimped to the container and provision is also made for use of a flange adaptor, with or without knurls, for non-crimping modes of constructing the pump assembly.
