    摘要: A work piece carrier is provided with two reference systems for accurately positioning it with regard to a chuck member. The work piece carrier comprises a central aperture with the two opposite ends of the aperture surrounded by one of the reference systems. The two reference systems are independent from each other and allow the work piece carrier to be attached to the chuck member in two different positions. Assigned to each reference system is a protrusion surrounding the central aperture and extending substantially in the direction of the central longitudinal axis of the work piece carrier. The particular protrusion is provided with a shoulder serving as a clamping surface, adapted to be engaged by clamping elements provided in the chuck member. Preferably, also the centering elements for defining the position of the work piece carrier with regard to the chuck member are located on the particular protrusion.

    摘要: A cutting tool is provided to process a processed member having an opening portion with a curved inner surface, so that a through hole is formed and a part of the inner surface of the opening portion corresponding to the through hole is processed. The through hole extends from a surface of the processed member to reach the opening portion. The cutting tool includes a shank member, and a processing member having a smaller diameter than the shank member. A groove portion of the processing member has a cutting edge, and a chip evacuation groove through which chip is expelled outward. A self guide portion of the processing member is arranged between the groove portion and the shank member and provided with a substantially cylindrical shape, to guide the cutting edge toward the part of the inner surface of the opening portion corresponding to the through hole in the processing.

    摘要: The clamping apparatus comprises a chuck member and a pallet releasably attachable thereto. The chuck member has four centering grooves, arranged offset to each other by 90° around the central Z-axis, while the pallet has four correspondingly located centering pins. In each of the four centering grooves, one of the groove flanks serves for centering the associated centering pin of the pallet, while the other groove flank is constituted by a clamping member. Upon clamping the pallet to the chuck member, the associated clamping member engages a recess provided on the centering pin and pulls the latter one in Z-direction into the centering groove of the chuck member. Simultaneously, the clamping member also presses the centering pin against the other groove flank. Thereby, the pallet is positioned relative to the chuck member in X-, Y- and Z-directions and clamped to the chuck member.

    摘要: A tool holder is equipped with a tip run-out correction mechanism for correcting run-out of the tip of the tool. The tip run-out correction mechanism includes an annular stepped portion formed on a cylindrical support portion of a holder body; a ring member rotatably fitted onto the annular stepped portion; an eccentric cam disposed within the ring member, the eccentric cam extending radially through the ring member and being rotatable about a radially extending axis; and a pin disposed within the ring member to be movable along a direction parallel to the center axis of a flange portion of the holder body. One end of the pin is in contact with the eccentric cam, and the other end of the pin is in contact with a rear end face of a clamp sleeve which clamps a tool inserted into a chuck sleeve of the holder body. The eccentric cam is rotated so as to adjust press force that the pin applies to the rear end face of the clamp sleeve, to thereby elastically deform a base end portion of the chuck sleeve in a radial direction in such a manner that tip run-out of the tool approaches zero.
