    摘要: A friction stir welding apparatus includes: a thermocouple and a temperature measurement device which are configured to detect a temperature of the temperature measurement point; a temperature monitor configured to calculate an estimated temperature of the welding tool from the detected temperature of the temperature measurement point, based on a predefined correlation between a temperature of the welding tool and a temperature of the backing member; and a controller configured to perform a predetermined procedure based on the estimated temperature of the welding tool so as to prevent overheating of the welding tool.

    摘要: A friction stir welding method utilizes a joining tool comprising a friction surface; a first workpiece comprising a first treating layer, a second workpiece comprising a second treating layer, and a joining member with a melting point lower than that of the first workpiece and the second workpiece. The joining member is arranged at the joining portion of the first workpiece and the second workpiece, and abutting the first workpiece and the second workpiece. The friction surface of the joining tool is positioned to resist at least one of the first treating layer and the second treating layer. The joining tool is rotated and moved to agitate at least one of the first workpiece and the second workpiece, until at least part of the first workpiece and the second workpiece are plasticized and joined together.

    摘要: A method of bonding dissimilar metal materials each having a different melting point, including: positioning a steel member and an aluminum member to a bonding position; press-contacting a rotation tool to the steel member while the rotation tool is rotated, and inserting the rotation tool into the steel member; controlling an insertion position of the rotation tool to a position where the rotation tool does not break through the steel member; producing a friction heat at a portion between the steel member and the rotation tool; partially softening the steel member and the aluminum member by a conduction heat conducted from the friction heat thereby to allow the two members to cause a plastic flow; and partially stirring the steel member and the aluminum member by the rotation tool thereby to friction-stir weld the steel member and the aluminum member.
