    摘要: Provided is a vehicle frame structure including (1) a first frame member that has a closed cross-sectional shape as seen in a cross-sectional view orthogonal to an extension direction and (2) a second frame member that extends along the first frame member, overlaps a wall surface of the first frame member, and has a hole portion that exposes the wall surface, with an edge portion of the hole portion being joined to the wall surface by a linear welded portion, wherein both end portions of the welded portion are disposed in close proximity to a neutral axis of the first frame member and the second frame member in a case in which the first frame member and the second frame member have undergone bending deformation in an in-plane direction of the wall surface in which the welded portion is formed.

    摘要: An arc spot welding method able to give a predetermined weld bead diameter or excess metal height in a back surface weld bead of arc spot welding and able to give a welded joint excellent in both strengths of TSS and CTS and a welding apparatus for working the same are provided. A steel sheet containing carbon in 0.2 mass % or more and having a sheet thickness “t” and at least one steel sheet containing carbon in 0.2 mass % or more and having a sheet thickness of “t” or more are arranged overlaid, a backing plate comprising a non-contact part and a contact part maintaining the back surface of the lower side steel sheet and the non-contact part in a non-contact state is arranged so that the contact part contacts the back surface of the lower side steel sheet at a position exceeding 3t from the circle equivalent center of the back surface weld bead, and arc generation and short-circuit conduction where the welding voltage between the welding wire and upper side steel sheet becomes 10V or less are alternately repeated so that the time period of the short-circuit conduction becomes over 30% to less than 60% per cycle to thereby weld the steel sheet.

    摘要: A method of cutting out a part from a workpiece with making partially welded spots in wire electrical discharge machining to keep the part against falling apart away from the workpiece. There is no need to cut anew the welded spot left as in the conventional process. The cut-out parts are cut off at a time after breakage of the welded spots caused by an external impact. The electric processing condition applied across an inter-electrode space between the wire electrode and the workpiece is changed from a cutting phase to a welding phase in which the wire electrode is fused partially at some spots along a cutting path of a predetermined contour on the workpiece to weld together the cut-out part and the workpiece at the fused spot on the wire electrode.
