    摘要: A steering tie rod for motor vehicles with a pipe, which is provided with an internal thread in a first direction of rotation on at least one side and is slotted at least in some areas, is presented, into which an adjusting sleeve is screwed at its end, where a ball-and-socket joint housing shaft of a ball-and-socket joint present at the end of the steering tie rod is screwed into the internal thread of the adjusting sleeve, which latter internal thread has a second direction of rotation opposite the first direction of rotation. An axial adjusting movement of the pipe relative to the ball-and-socket joint is made possible by a wrench contact surface made in one piece with the adjusting sleeve. The adjusting sleeve (1) has at least one recessed slot (2) and a collar band (4), which is fixed on the outer jacket surface of the pipe (3) and fixes the components in their position in relation to one another.

    摘要: While one end of a material (31) that has nearly the same diameter as that of a first connecting portion (15) is secured, pressure is applied to the portion between the middle and the other end of the material (31). A slender portion (32), which has nearly the same diameter as that of a buckle portion (18), is formed adjacent to said other end of the material (31), and a stepped portion (20) is formed adjacent to the slender portion (32). Thus, a first-stage unfinished body (33) is formed. By radially enlarging a part of the slender portion (32), i.e. the portion between the distal end and the portion to become a buckle portion (18), until the diameter of said part becomes nearly the same as the diameter of a second connecting portion (16), the portion to become the second connecting portion (16) isformed. Thus, an arm-to-be portion is formed, wherein the portion that has not been enlarged shall be formed into the buckle portion (18). With external threads (17) formed along the cylindrical outer surface of the expanded portion, formation of the arm (5) is completed. The invention enables the reliable formation of a buckle portion (18) having a given length, resulting in stable production of arms (5) having a uniform buckling strength. The invention enables the easy production of an arm (5) regardless of whether the two ends of the arm (5) have different diameters.

    摘要: A steer-by-wire steering system for steering a set of road wheels is disclosed. The system comprises a controller and at least one actuator assembly connected to the controller and to the at least one wheel of the set of road wheels. The at least one actuator assembly comprises an electro-mechanical actuator connected to the controller, a crank arm connected to the electro-mechanical actuator, a steering arm connected to the at least one wheel of the set of road wheels; and a tie rod having a first end thereof connected to the crank arm and a second end thereof connected to the steering arm. The electro-mechanical actuator, in response to a signal from the controller, is operative to rotate the crank arm producing thereby a force acting through the tie rod so as to rotate the steering arm and the at least one road wheel to a desired position. The steer-by-wire steering system includes a backup system capable of assuming operative command of the steer-by-wire steering system.

A second piston is slideably disposed within an interior chamber of the first piston. A first locking sleeve is disposed within the interior chamber, a second locking sleeve is disposed within the interior chamber in opposition to the first locking sleeve, a first spring is disposed within the interior chamber interposed between the first locking sleeve and the first piston, and a second spring is disposed within the interior chamber interposed between the second locking sleeve and the first piston. The pistons and the locking sleeves also each include at least one groove disposed therein. Snap rings may be disposed within the grooves. A damping mechanism may also be incorporated into the structure of the device.

The axis of the right and left piston rods is parallel to the axis of the right and left axles, and the right and left coupling members are disposed at positions such that the axis of each tie rod is positioned between the axis of the axles and the axis of the piston rods, thereby improving steering operation and the durability of the power steering device.

    摘要: A steering system for a motor vehicle, comprising at least one steered axle, an actuator, an actuator motor and a steering mechanism. The actuator and the steering mechanism, respectively, each have a mechanical gear ratio. The steered axle, the actuator motor, the actuator and the steering mechanism are operatively connected with one another. Steering movements initiated by the driver and movements initiated by the actuator motor are superimposed by the actuator. The superimposed movement is passed to the steering gear, which relays this movement as steering angle to the wheels of the steered axle. The steering gear mechanical gear ratio is configured to be variable which enables selectively adjustable relationships between the steering wheel movements and the steering angles of the steered wheels and avoids the loss of good steering feel for the driver.
