    摘要: A solar heat energy collection system of the natural circulation type where the heat store is located above liquid cooled collectors. The system utilizes at least two liquids, the first is a non-freezing liquid which circulates between a heat store tank and the collectors, the second liquid is less dense than the first and immiscible therewith and acts as a heat store and also to supply the heat load. A third liquid less dense than the second and immiscible therewith may be utilized to supply the heat load. In this latter situation, the second liquid acts only as a heat store.

    摘要: A device making use of the gravity generated imbalance within a portion of the system confined upward and downward flowing liquid. A condensed gas of lower boiling point is induced to the portion of the upward flowing heated liquid of higher boiling point. The formation of gas bubbles upon evaporation of the condensed gas within the upward flowing heated liquid, causing fluid displacement thereof, thereby causing a imbalance between the upward flowing liquid and gas mixture, and the downward flowing solid liquid after being separated from the gas. Thus, gravity causing the continuous pumping action of the liquid throughout the system.

    摘要: A power generator including a closed pressure resisting tubular loop having a lower warmed end and an upper cooled end joined by connecting penstock column and a return column, the tubular loop being filled with fluid under pressure, the critical point of which is between the temperatures of the cooled and warmed ends, to cause the fluid to convert to a liquid phase in the upper end for discharge into the penstock column, and cause the liquid to convert into a gas phase in the lower end, for discharge while in its gas phase into the return column so that circulation of fluid as it converts between its liquid and gas phases is continuous, and a hydraulic power unit driven by downwardly moving liquid in the penstock column, reacting to the hydrostatic pressure so generated.

    摘要: The invention relates to a device for passive heat transfer between a heat source and a condenser (6) by means of a vaporizable liquid and a cycle with two phases controlled by a float valve (2, 4, 11). This device comprises a boiler (1) heated by said source and a liquid tank (9), the boiler furnishing, during a first cycle phase, vapor to the condenser which then supplies the tank with liquid, and receiving, during the second cycle phase, liquid from said tank. According to the invention, a vapor separator (3) is interposed between the boiler and the condenser, and the float valve (2, 4, 11) is disposed inside this separator and makes communicate, during the first cycle phase, the vapor space of the separator with the vapor space of the boiler (1), and, during the second cycle phase, the vapor space of the separator (3) with the vapor space of the tank (9), while cutting off these communications during the respective inverse cycle phase.

    摘要: A solar collector water heater is provided in kit form suitable for installation by a homeowner using a minimum of ordinary tools. The kit includes a rectangular insulation board serving as a baseboard, and a solar absorber plate mountable on the insulation board and including a heat exchanger with couplings for connection to a tank. A thermosiphon water tank is provided together with couplings for connecting to the heat exchanger. A main frame is assembled of a rear rail, a pair of side rails, and a front rail, all of extruded aluminum, using corner keys for adjoining adjacent ones of these rails at their ends. At least one side glazing panel having a top surface and a pair of legs inwardly disposed therefrom is cooperatively retained within the assembly by a first depression formed in one of the rail members insertably receiving and retaining one of the legs and a second depression formed in a glazing rim insertably receiving and retaining another of the legs. The top surface of the side-glazing panels being cooperatively retained adjacent to one of the rail members by a side cap and also retained adjacent to the glazing rim by an upper cap. A least one front glazing panel is also securely retained within the solar collector water heater within an opening formed between the glazing rim and the upper cap. The upper cap includes a projection extending downwardly therefrom which cooperates with a flange outwardly disposed from the glazing rim to cooperatively retain the front glazing panel within the opening.

    摘要: An improved heat actuated heat exchange system having conduit in a primary heating zone, a boiler in a second heating zone, and an accumulator in a third heating zone operatively connected by other conduits to a condenser, two check valves, and a heat rejector to form an hermetically sealed device containing a condensible coolant. The coolant, which is initially heated in the primary heating zone, is flashed into vapor in the boiler to produce a vapor piston for pumping heated liquid through a check valve and into a hot accumulator. Vapor pressure in the accumulator is the motive force for circulating heated coolant through the heat rejection zone, through the second check valve, and back into the primary heating zone. Check valves are utilized as pressure isolators and determine the direction of fluid flow. The system can be utilized on energy conservation devices such as solar energy systems or heat reclaim systems as the device is receptive to most heat sources with a generally uniform distribution.
