摘要: Embodiments relate to a computing system for solving differential equations. The system is configured to receive problem packages corresponding to problems to be solved, each comprising at least a differential equation and a domain, and to select a solver of a plurality of solvers, based upon availability of each of the plurality of solvers. A dispatch computer selects a solver by monitoring the plurality of solvers, and responsive to a solver becoming available, determines if a received problem package having at least a threshold priority level can be solved by the solver. Otherwise, the dispatch computer generates a plurality of solver scenarios each reflecting a permutation of received problem packages assigned to solvers estimated to become available within a threshold period of time, and assigns the problem packages in accordance with a solver scenario having a highest utilization score.

摘要: Apparatus and method for identifying code path contributors to resource utilization spikes. For example, in some implementations, stack trace data and profiling data are sampled from a plurality of code paths of an application to generate a plurality of code path samples, where the sampling is performed across a series of temporal windows. Processor utilization data is also sampled across a corresponding series of temporal windows. Correlations are detected between the code path samples and occurrences of processor utilization spikes to generate correlational scores for the plurality of code paths. A ranking of code paths is then generated in accordance with the correlational scores in which code paths relatively higher in the ranking are more likely to contribute to the occurrences of the processor utilization spikes than code paths relatively lower in the ranking.

摘要: A Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) performance system includes a DAG management system that is coupled to each of a plurality of compute systems. The DAG management system stores a dynamic DAG, receives a request to perform the dynamic DAG, and identifies a plurality of DAG operations included in the dynamic DAG. The DAG management system then determines a respective compute system type that is configured to perform each of the plurality of DAG operations, and identifies a subset of the plurality of compute systems that each include one of the respective compute system types. The DAG management system then selects a respective compute system from the subset of the plurality of compute systems to perform each of the plurality of DAG operations, and transmits a respective instruction to perform one of the plurality of DAG operations to each respective compute system that was selected to perform that DAG operation.

摘要: Virtual baseboard management controller capability to monitor and manage a virtual machine (VM). A guest firmware is operated within a first guest privilege context of a guest partition operating as a VM. The guest partition also includes a second guest privilege context that is restricted from accessing memory associated with the first guest privilege context, and that operates a guest operating system. The guest firmware establishes a communications channel between the first guest privilege context and a client device, and receives a request for performance of a management operation against the VM. The guest firmware initiates the management operation, which includes changing a power state of the VM; stopping or restarting the guest OS; presenting a graphical or serial console associated with the guest OS; updating a firmware associated with the guest partition; or managing a virtual device presented by the first guest privilege context.
