Abstract:
A method and system that is adapted to print order files that are customized for a particular printer. The method and system includes a digital printer that has specific printing capabilities and involves the production and storage of a profile that defines the printing capabilities of the printer.
Abstract:
A network configuration file is generated at a host computer and downloaded to a digital camera. This file contains instruction information for communicating with a selected destination via a communications interface. The digital camera includes a “send” button or LCD icon which allows the user to easily transmit one or more images via a wired or wireless communications interface to a desired destination, which among other possibilities may be an Internet Service Provider or a digital photofinishing center. When the user selects this option, the communications port settings, user account specifics, and destination connection commands are read from the network configuration file on the removable memory card. Examples of these settings include serial port baud rate, parity, and stop bits, as well as account name and password.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus creates a layout image by fetching a layout with various data according to layout information that is held by a desired form which is selected from either one type or a plurality of types of forms which are registered. The image processing apparatus includes a new-form creating unit that creates new layout information and creates a new form from the new layout information; and a new-form registering unit that registers the new form.

Abstract:
An apparatus for scanning printed or graphical information is providing having an optical reader and an integral marking device such as an ink containing highlighter. The apparatus also has at least one output transmission device as well as an internal light source, a pressure sensitive switch for activating the light source and an ink shield/light tube for protecting the reader from the highlighter's ink. The apparatus can be of a single, integral construction.
Abstract:
A system and method for allowing a user to control remotely a digital image capture device without wires. A docking station for receiving a digital image capture device is provided. The docking station includes a wireless receiver. A wireless remote controller for sending at least one command to the docking station is also provided. The docking station also has a communication interface for communicating with the digital image capture device when the image capture device is docked therein. The user employs the wireless remote controller to access one or more functions of the digital image capture device through the docking station.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a digital camera DIY wireless photo print device. The device comprises a billing box, a wireless image-receiving unit, a processor, a monitor, and a photo printer. Wherein, the processor includes a plurality of control and IrDA protocol-processing programs to control the other units that are connected to the processor. The billing box provides a variety of payment methods. The monitor displays the two-way communication between the device and the user, and also displays the status of the image file transmission. The wireless image-receiving unit receives the optic signal of the image file, processes the photo-electronic transformation, and outputs an image file data to the processor. The processor controls the photo printer to print and output the photo.
Abstract:
A handheld computer system is divided into a handheld computer unit (1) and a separate handheld display unit (2). The computer unit is adapted to communicate in a wireless manner with the display unit. Essentially all processing and storing of information take place in the computer unit while the display unit is merely used to show information.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus capable of outputting a sensed image to a printing apparatus determines the type of PD printer apparatus connected via an interface, and selects the type of image data to be output to the PD printer apparatus on the basis of the determination result. The imaging apparatus directly transmits a JPEG code for a predetermined PD printer apparatus, or decodes and transmits the JPEG code for another printer apparatus.
Abstract:
The communication apparatus is equipped with a first communication interface for executing communication based on a first communication method, and a second communication interface for executing communication based on a second communication method different from the first communication method. The communication apparatus sets ID information for identifying device executing communication by the first communication method, for device which executes communication with the second communication interface. In this manner plural device supporting different communication methods can be recognized as device belonging to a same communication system.
