摘要: The invention relates to a method for relaying, by an in-vehicle emergency system, a private emergency point of the vehicle to a public emergency point that is handling an emergency of the vehicle in which the in-vehicle emergency system is incorporated, the public emergency point depending on the location of the emergency. The method comprises the steps of receiving a message from a call control node of a mobile communications network in response to an emergency call initiated by the in-vehicle emergency system, the message containing contact information of the public emergency point, and transmitting the received contact information of the public emergency point to the private emergency point.

摘要: Network devices in an Ad-Hoc wireless network self-survey themselves as necessary for approximate location or precise position information, based on methods employed, particularly useful for a non-open-sky environment. A WiFi Access Point (AP) with or without an internal GPS receiver and location conveyance support may utilize the mesh technique. If an Ad-Hoc network device is unable to contact a suitable location server, or a position request has otherwise failed to deliver a precise position, a WiFi AP is manually configured with appropriate location information, and then offers itself as if it were a location server (thereby becoming an ‘internal’ server’, containing either the determined or provisioned location of itself, for use by other APs or devices). A location server (either internal to the AP needing location, or external), performs a ‘mesh’ location determination by selecting position information from 3 or more location determined APs for subsequent processing.

摘要: A mobile device/UE identifies calls to or callbacks from a Public Safety Access Point (PSAP) in order to provide priority handling. When the UE does not detect that the call being made is an emergency call, then the network facilitates identification during call establishment of the emergency nature. The network identifies the call as emergency call in a SIP response by setting the Priority header to distinctive value (e.g., “emergency-call”) or the “P-Asserted-Identity to a distinctive value (e.g., urn:services:sos). When PSAP chooses to call back the mobile/UE, the mobile/UE can terminate any ongoing calls and accept this call from the PSAP and can disable other supplementary services (e.g., call waiting, three-way calling etc.) during the call. A P-Asserted-Identity of the incoming call is set to a distinctive location associated with PSAP (e.g., urn:services:sos). Alternatively, the incoming call has a Priority header set to a distinctive value (e.g., “emergency”, “emergency-callback”).

摘要: A method and apparatus for handling emergency signalling in an IP Multimedia Subsystem network. A Proxy-Call Session Control Function receives a message requesting set up of a session. The message is associated with an IP Multimedia Private Identity. The P-CSCF determines that the message relates to an emergency call. If an emergency override tag associated with the IMPI is provisioned or set at the P-CSCF, then the message is forwarding the SIP message to a Serving-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) for further handling. However, if an emergency override tag associated with the IMPI is not provisioned or set at the P-CSCF, the message is forwarded to an Emergency-Call Session Control Function (E-CSCF). The invention allows the P-CSCF to exercise control over the handling of emergency signalling.

摘要: An incident management system includes some form of portable machine-readable data and a collector unit and optionally a manager unit for receiving the machine-readable data where one or all of the portable machine-readable data, the collector unit or the manager unit is provided in the form of a cell-enabled device. The portable machine-readable data may include identification information of a person or a resource/asset. By providing the portable machine-readable data in the form of cell-enabled devices each having a GPS unit, the location of the responders to the incident may be tracked in real time.

摘要: A method and system for determining and verifying a location of a network device in emergency situations with emergency messages including legacy 911, E911 and text-to-911 messages from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone. The method and system provide a current physical geographic location for mobile devices in urban areas (e.g., spot, chair, desk on in a room on a building floor, campus, enterprise, city, state, region, country, continent, etc.) and rural areas in an emergency situation such as an accident, fire, terrorist attack, military incident, weather, flood event, etc. and forwarding the current physical geographic location to a legacy 911 network, a Emergency Services IP networks (ESInet) or text-to-911 Short Message Services (SMS) networks to alert emergency responders.

摘要: When a PSAP receives a call from a cellular telephone in reference to an emergent event, the speed and quality of the response may be improved by the cellular service provider's provision to the PSAP of information that includes the geographic location of the caller's phone. In a typical scenario, in which the call is from a GPS-equipped phone, the GPS coordinates of the phone may be echoed back to the PSAP in response to a specialized open “ping” request from the service provider. Of particular advantage to this approach is that GPS ping requests typically work regardless of whether a call is in progress, as long as the phone is turned on.
