摘要: The present application discloses a coating method including: detecting a shape of an object over a coating zone which extends from a start point position to an end point position to generate first detection data before application of coating agent to the object; moving a bracket for holding a nozzle for discharging the coating agent with bringing the bracket into contact with the object to apply the coating agent to the object over the coating zone; detecting a shape of the object after application of the coating agent over the coating zone, to generate second detection data; extracting first extraction data and second extraction data in correspondence to detection positions intermittently set in the coating zone from the first detection data and the second detection data; and comparing the first extraction data with the second extraction data to detect a coating state of the coating agent.

摘要: A method is provided to form a dust mitigation coating that also mitigates or repels water, ice, and other liquids. Techniques to coat the surfaces of equipment and items with these dust, liquid, and ice mitigation coatings, minimize or eliminate mission problems caused by dust, liquid, or ice accumulation, particularly in outer space or on another planetary body or moon. Further, the dust mitigation coatings exhibit a Lotus-like effect, making the coated surfaces ultra-hydrophobic. The present invention is also directed to techniques for improving the functioning of terrestrial-based equipment and systems where dust, liquid, or ice accumulation is a problem, such as in hospitals and other health contexts, to prevent contamination.

摘要: An in-line method to make a polymeric film with soft-feel haptic property includes the continuous, sequential steps of: (a) forming a polymer core layer of one or more polyesters; (b) optionally adding an adhesive layer and/or a skin layer over the polymer core layer to make a base layer; (c) stretching the base layer uniaxially in the machine direction; (d) coating the base layer with a liquid solution of a carbodiimide or polycarbodiimide crosslinker and a coating that includes aliphatic water-borne polyurethanes and one or more additives to enhance haptic properties, including urea-formaldehyde beads, aqueous wax dispersions and hollow sphere polymeric pigment dispersion; (e) heating the coated base layer to dry and crosslink the coating solution to form a coating layer on the base layer to create a coated film; (f) stretching the composite coated film in the transverse direction during or immediately following the drying and crosslinking step, and (g) optionally heat-treating the composite coated film to anneal the composite coated film.

摘要: A method and equipment to form a digital print by applying dry colourants on a surface of a panel, bonding a part of the colourants with a binder and removing the non-bonded colourants from the surface. The method of forming a digital print on a surface of a panel includes displacing the panel under a digital drop application head, applying a liquid binder with the digital drop application head on the surface; applying colourants on the liquid binder and the surface; bonding a part of the colourants to the surface with the liquid binder; removing non-bonded colourants from the surface such that a digital print is formed by the bonded colourants; and applying heat and pressure on the panel, the surface and the bonded colorants such that the colourants are permanently bonded to the surface.

摘要: A method and system for powder coating non electrically conductive elements, preferably brake pads. A pre-treatment station is upstream of an electrostatic powder coating deposition station and a baking station for melting and polymerizing the powder coating in order to form a coating layer on a surface to be coated. The pre-treatment station causes the elements to be coated to conduct electrically by uniformly wetting said elements by means of creating poorly mineralized water covalent bonds on at least one surface to be coated, in an amount aimed at producing a measurable weight increase in the non electrically conductive elements, which then causes them to conduct electrically. The water adsorbed and/or deposited is subsequently eliminated within the baking station.

摘要: The present application relates to a novel method of large scale continuous roll-to-roll fabrication of cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) coatings with controlled anisotropy, and the cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) coated flexible substrate prepared with the novel method.
