Abstract: A fluid set for inkjet printing comprising a fluid having a compound functionalized with at least two functional groups selected from the group consisting of a primary amine and a secondary amine, and an aqueous inkjet ink comprising a colorant and a polymeric particle comprising an oligomer or polymer comprising at least three repeating units functionalized with a functional group selected from the group consisting of a 1,3-diketone, a 0-keto-aldehyde and a 1,3-dialdehyde, with the proviso that the active methylene is functionalized with at least one hydrogen. The fluid is preferably a pre-treatment liquid or over coat liquid.

Abstract: According to one aspect of an inventive concept, an ink includes a base catalyst, a sol gel precursor composition, and a block copolymer. According to another aspect of an inventive concept, an aerogel includes a three-dimensional printed structure having printed ligaments geometrically arranged, where an average diameter of the printed ligaments is in a range of greater than 0 microns and less than 50 microns. In addition, an average distance between a center of a first of the printed ligaments and a center of a second of the printed ligaments is at least equal to the average diameter of the printed ligaments, where the first and the second of the printed ligaments are adjacent. Each printed ligament includes of a plurality of random pores, where an average diameter of the random pores is less than 50 nanometers.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an oxidation-resistant conductive copper past, a manufacturing method and a use thereof. The oxidation-resistant conductive copper paste comprises 70 wt % to 90 wt % of copper particles, a binder, a thixotropic agent and a solvent. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of mixing the binder, the thixotropic agent and ethanol thoroughly to obtain a first mixture; mixing the solvent with the first mixture thoroughly to obtain a second mixture; mixing the copper particles with the second mixture to obtain a conductive copper paste precursor; and removing the ethanol from the conductive copper paste precursor to obtain the oxidation-resistant conductive copper paste. The oxidation-resistant conductive copper paste can be used for manufacturing a conductive film of a circuit board or an electrode of a solar battery by a printing process.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to non-aqueous ink compositions. The non-aqueous ink compositions can include from 70 wt % to 98 wt % alcohol solvent, from 1 wt % to 6 wt % phenol-formaldehyde resin, from 1 wt % to 5 wt % tackifier, and from 1 wt % to 14 wt % organic solvent-soluble dye. The tackifier can include a shellac having an acid number from 50 KOH/g to 100 mg KOH/g or a tackifier resin having an acid number from 100 mg KOH/g to 300 mg KOH/g.

Abstract: A method for microassembly of heterogeneous materials comprises contacting a stamp with an ink disposed on a donor substrate to form an inked stamp, where the ink is reversibly bound to the stamp. The inked stamp is stamped onto a receiving substrate or onto an object on the receiving substrate, and the stamp is removed, thereby transferring the ink to the receiving substrate. The ink and the receiving substrate or the ink and the object are thermally joined, thereby forming a microassembly of heterogeneous materials. The ink may comprise a first material and the receiving substrate or the object may comprise a second material different from the first material.

Abstract: Making a carbon aerogel involves 3-D printing an ink to make a printed part, removing the solvent from the printed part, and carbonizing the printed part (with the solvent removed) to make the aerogel. The ink is based on a solution of a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin (RF resin), water, and an organic thickener. Advantageously, the RF resin contains an acid catalyst, which tends to produce carbon aerogels with higher surface areas upon activation than those produced from methods involving an ink composition containing a base catalyzed resin.

Abstract: A method of forming a digital embossing on a surface by bonding hard press particles to a carrier. A liquid binder pattern is applied on the carrier by a digital drop application head. Hard press particles are applied on the carrier and the binder pattern such that some hard press particles are bonded to the carrier by the liquid pattern and non-bonded press particles are removed. The carrier with the bonded hard press particles is pressed to the surface and an embossing is formed when the carrier with the hard press particles is removed.
