    Abstract: A structural element forms a motor vehicle dashboard body that is intended to be installed in a transverse installation position inside a vehicle passenger compartment. The structural element has a one-piece openwork structure produced by three-dimensional printing. The openwork structure defines: a first internal passage that passes all the way through the structural element and extends transversely when the structural element is in the installation position. The first passage is shaped so as to receive a crossmember that is in particular bent with a constant radius of curvature and having at least two fastening elements that are intended to be fastened to the crossmember. A second internal passage connects the first passage to a face of the structural element that is directed toward the rear of the vehicle when the structural element is in the installation position. The second passage has at least one fastening element that is intended to fasten a steering column fastening support.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a front end panel assembly for an electric vehicle, the assembly comprising a front cover having side edges, the front cover extending in a bended shape such that a first angle α is enclosed between a first portion and a second portion of the front cover; and a carrier structure comprising a base and a peripheral wall extending from the base, wherein the carrier structure comprises a first part and a second part that enclose a second angle β; wherein the upstanding wall connects to the front cover at or near at least part of the side edges of the front cover, such that a space is formed and enclosed between the front cover and the carrier structure, wherein the first portion of the front cover covers the first part of the carrier structure, and the second portion of the front cover covers the second part of the carrier structure.     Abstract: Presented are protective covers for weldable fasteners, methods for making/using such cover-protected weldable fasteners, and motor vehicles with such covered fasteners welded to load-bearing structural members. A weldable fastener assembly includes a fastener, such as a weld-on nut or clip retainer, that is fabricated with a shank and a flange. One end of the shank has a fastener hole that receives therethrough a mating fastener, such as a bolt, screw, stud, or clip. The flange is formed, in whole or in part, from a weldable material for welding to a load-bearing panel or other structural support member. The flange may be integrally formed with and project radially outward from the shank. A protective cover is attached to the flange and covers the fastener hole. The protective cover is frangible and formed, in whole or in part, from a material designed to withstand the temperature at which the weldable material melts.
