摘要： By providing two endless loop belt drive assemblies forming a belt driven sealing section, a highly efficient and effective automatic, universally applicable, container closing system has been achieved which is capable of securely lockingly engaging both locking lug/receiving well containers and perimeter seal containers. In the present invention, the two cooperating endless loop belt drive systems are mounted in juxtaposed, spaced, cooperating relationship with each other and are positioned for simultaneously closing and securely engaging the entire locking elements formed on the flanges of one side of the container. In addition, the spaced distance between the two belt drive assemblies is adjustable, as well as the position of the spaced distance relative to a conveyor. In this way, all containers are to be closed by this system.

摘要： A method of packaging compressible insulation material includes feeding insulation material into contact with a mandrel, rolling up the insulation material on the mandrel to form an insulation roll, applying pressure on the insulation material, during the rolling of the insulation material, with a pair of opposed belts which are adapted to contact the roll being formed with an increasing area of contact as the diameter of the roll increases, and increasing tension on the belts as the diameter of the roll increases in order to maintain a substantially constant pressure on the insulation material.

摘要： A platen adjust apparatus for the heating, compression and cooling platens in a bag sealer assembly of a high speed bagger. The bag sealer has a plurality of platen pairs in face to face orientation with each platen pair having an adjustable platen and a stationary platen. The stationary platens are mounted to a frame and the adjustable platens are mounted to a plate. This plate is slidably mounted to the frame for movement towards and away from the stationary platens. The plate is moved towards or away from the stationary platens by a moveable wedge member until the appropriate gap between the stationary platens and the adjustable platens is achieved. The gap is adjusted simultaneously along the length of the platen pairs because the plate is moved simultaneously along its length.

摘要： A form-fill-seal type combined bag maker and packaging machine uses of a longitudinal sealer to seal together mutually overlapping side edges of an elongated bag-making material wrapped around a loading cylinder in a tubular form. The longitudinal sealer has a sealing unit with a heater supported by a mobile member which can be selectably moved linearly or rotationally such that the sealing unit can be not only correctly positioned but also properly oriented with respect to the loading cylinder currently installed on the packaging machine. The mechanism for moving the sealing unit is supported on an elongated member rotatably supported by the packaging machine so as to be easily moved away when the loading cylinder is removed and replaced by another of a different kind.

摘要： The invention relates to a device for sealing the folded over and overlapped end flaps (L1, L2) of the plastics material wrapper for packages (P), particularly for packages of cigaerettes. In this device, the packages (P) to be sealed are passed after each other between the heated sealer bodies (7) of at least a stationary pair of opposite sealer bodies (7--7) the active faces of which engage, in their operative position, the respective ends of the packages (P) with the intermediary of the parallel facing stretches (102) of two endless belts running in the same direction and at the same speed as the packages. According to the invention, the active surface of each sealer body (7) of at least one pair of opposite sealer bodies (7--7) comprises at least two slightly protruding i.e. in-relief zones (8,9; 18,19,20; 108,208,308,109,209,309; 118,119,120,218,219,220) staggered from each other both in the direction (F) of movement of the packages (P) and transversely to said direction. In the operative position of two opposite sealer bodies (7,7), the distances between the surfaces of the slightly protruding zones of the two sealer bodies is such that the higher specific pressure exerted at said slightly protruding zones will not damage the packages (P) and their contents.
