Abstract: A return roller assembly that is designed for use as part of a conveyor assembly to improve the ability to clean the conveyor assembly. The return roller assembly includes a roller shaft that extends between side walls of a conveyor frame. A plurality of support rollers are positioned along the length of the roller shaft to support a lower run of a continuous conveyor belt. A spacer is positioned between each of the support rollers to define the position of the rollers along the roller shaft. The spacer can be snapped onto the roller shaft and includes a series of standoffs that space the inner surface of the spacer from the roller shaft. A series of cleaning fins extend radially from the outer surface of the spacer and impart rotation to the spacer relative to the roller shaft during cleaning with a spray of water. The spacer can be formed from an extrusion cut to length.

Abstract: Disclosed is a conveyor system and method for advancing an item relative to a transport axis. The conveyor system includes a conveyor belt and a modular drive assembly having at least one drive module and at least one take-up module. Each drive module and each take-up module has a housing and a pulley assembly positioned within the housing. The respective positions of the housings of the at least one drive module and the at least one take-up module relative to the transport axis are selectively adjustable to modify the conveyor movement pathway. Moreover, the drive module can also include a drive pulley removal apparatus that is detachably secured within the housing for selective removal and replacement of a drive pulley.

Abstract: A toothed belt drive for transport in a production process and/or a packaging process. The toothed belt drive includes a drive roller having a toothing system which runs along an outer circumference, a conveyor belt which is driven by the drive roller in a circulating direction, and a support roller. The conveyor belt includes a toothing system along an inner side and a continuous groove in the toothing system parallel to the circulating direction. The support roller includes a support disk which projects radially as an elevation so as to bear in a force-loading manner against the inner side of the conveyor belt. The elevation is a counterpart to the continuous groove of the conveyor belt. The support disk is arranged so that the elevation lies on a bottom of the continuous groove.

Abstract: A tensioning system for a conveyor belt arrangement is provided. More particularly, but not exclusively, to a vertical belt tensioning system for an endless conveyor belt arrangement. Abstract: A drive device for a belt conveyor device includes a drive pulley, a first pulley, a second pulley, a support frame, and a drive motor. The drive pulley has a drive shaft direction length less than a plurality of previously set belt widths of the endless belt and has the driving shaft direction length being set to a same length regardless of the plurality of previously set belt widths of the endless belt. Axial lengths of the first pulley and the second pulley are set to the same length as the axial lengths of the head pulley and the tail pulley. The support frame is rotatably attached to the first pulley and the second pulley. The drive motor hung from a lower surface of the support frame in order for the drive pulley to be positioned at an approximately center portion in a width direction of the endless belt.

Abstract: An automatic system for sorting items, such as small parcels, into groups bound for different geographical locations is described. The system includes a carriage for traveling along a track, the carriage having an adjustment feature such that it may continuously be held against the track. The carriage also provides a tilt tray in which packages are presented on a convex surface. The convex surface causes the package to be destabilized, so they may be quickly discharged from the tilt tray.

Abstract: A belt conveyor having an endless conveyor belt with an upper run and a lower run. A frictional wheel frictionally engages the lower belt run opposite a belt support roller acting as a counterpressure roller and a pivot arm carrying the friction wheel. A spring urges the wheel against the lower belt run so that, on driving of the wheel in clockwise sense, the lower belt run is frictionally driven in corresponding direction. The pivot axis of the pivot arm is at a downstream--with respect to the drive direction of the lower belt run--side of a plane containing the axes of the friction wheel and counterpressure roller. The contact pressure force between lower belt run and friction wheel varies proportionally to change in the peripheral force to be transmitted to the belt run for drive thereof.
