摘要: Processability of a paint film is improved and a water-soluble paint in which coloring during heating to a high temperature is minimized and which has excellent productivity and a coated can having a paint film of such a water-soluble paint are provided. A water-soluble paint including a polymer emulsion (C) and a phenolic resin (D) is provided; wherein the polymer emulsion (C) includes a shell part containing an acrylic polymer (A) having a carboxyl group and a core part containing an acrylic polymer (B) having an amide group, wherein the phenolic resin (D) includes a bifunctional phenolic resin (D2) based on a bifunctional phenol and a trifunctional phenolic resin (D3) based on a trifunctional phenol, and a mass ratio ((D2)/(D3)) between the bifunctional phenolic resin (D2) and the trifunctional phenolic resin (D3) is 95/5 to 40/60.

摘要: An anti-glare film is disclosed. The anti-glare film comprises a transparent substrate and an anti-glare layer comprising an acrylic binder resin, an acrylate-ether-group-containing surface active agent and a plurality of silica nanoparticles, wherein the silica nanoparticles are flocculated into a micro-floccule with an average secondary particle diameter of 1,600 nm to 3,300 nm. The present anti-glare film can provide a reliable anti-glare property with a low haze.

摘要: Base coats and methods of producing the same are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a method of producing a base coat includes forming a CPO intermediate and a color intermediate. The CPO intermediate includes a CPO solvent and a chlorinated polyolefin, where the chlorinated polyolefin is present in the CPO intermediate at from about 5 to about 20 weight percent, based on a total weight of the CPO intermediate. The color intermediate includes a color imparting additive and a color solvent that is different than the CPO solvent. The CPO intermediate and the color intermediate are combined to form the base coat.

The corrosion-resistance improved powder paint for aluminum wheels, which is the present invention, includes 70 to 80 wt % of an acrylic resin, 8 to 12 wt % of dodecanedioic acid, and 3 to 10 wt % of sebacic acid, and the corrosion resistance of the powder paint is improved according to the composition of the present invention, so that it is possible to reduce occurrence and diffusion of corrosion on corner pails.

The polymer-containing composition contains a (meth)acryl-based copolymer (A-1), in which the (meth)acryl-based copolymer (A-1) contains a constitutional unit (U11) or a constitutional unit (U12) having carboxylate forming an ionic bond with a divalent metal atom, and has a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 to 5,000, and the polymer-containing composition has a coating film hardness (Martens hardness) equal to or higher than 2.5 N/mm2.

摘要: The present invention is directed to coated articles demonstrating a transmission of electromagnetic radiation having a frequency of 22 to 81 GHz in the range of 70% to 100%. The articles comprise substrates coated with curable film-forming compositions comprising a first film-forming polymer prepared from at least one hydrophobic monomer, a second film-forming polymer prepared from at least one hydrophobic monomer, and a curing agent. Upon application of the curable film-forming composition to the substrate to form a coating layer, the first film-forming polymer is distributed throughout the coating layer, and the concentration of the second film-forming polymer is greater at the surface of the coating layer than the concentration of the second film-forming polymer within the bulk of the coating layer. The present invention is also drawn to methods of mitigating contaminant build-up on a substrate using the curable film-forming compositions described above.
