    摘要: The straw (11) filling device comprises a casing body having a cavity (43) in which the needle (9) of a nozzle (7) is placed. The needle is inserted into the straw tube (12) received in the cavity. The casing body is attached to a carriage separately from the needle. The cavity comprises a distal opening located on the distal end side of the needle, a proximal opening located on the proximal end side of the needle, and a longitudinal opening extending from the distal opening to the proximal opening, thus enabling placement and removal of the needle in and out of the cavity in a direction transverse to the direction of the needle and preventing an adult finger accessing the distal end of the needle. The machine comprises a device of this type and a conveyor (2) designed to keep the straw tube in a filling position during each cycle.

The syringe is configured to have a distal collection tip which is gently tapered or radiused to present a smooth and atraumatic surface and which is specifically configured and shaped to be inserted within and received by the collection receptacle. The distal collection tip has a shape which corresponds directly to a tapered reservoir defined at the bottom of the collection receptacle such that a distal opening defined through the tip is optimally positioned within the concentrated bodily fluid pooled within the reservoir for collection. Moreover, the gentle taper of the collection tip may present an atraumatic surface for inhibiting damage to the sperm contained within the ejaculate as the sperm is suctioned into the distal opening for insemination into the female.

In an artificial insemination for livestock breeding, the plug installed at the front of a sperm delivery duct is inserted into a reproductive organ of the livestock, and secretion or fluid is attached and shown on surfaces of the plug leading portion and the viewing portion with different colors to achieve the effect of detecting the physical and physiological conditions of the livestock. In addition, the leading portion is a foam layer with relatively greater hardness, density, and smoothness, so that the plug may be entered into the female livestock body more easily, and the injection hole will not be deformed easily, so as to improve the smoothness and efficiency of the artificial insemination.

    摘要: The present invention provides an artificial insemination apparatus and methods for use with livestock that maintains the sterility of the semen until it is deposited at an optimum location in the reproductive tract of the animal without the maneuvering or tissue injury problems associated with prior art devices. Embodiments of the present invention comprise a uniquely shaped opening that is provided at the tip of a sheath that is used with an artificial insemination gun, and a movable or deformable plug or diaphragm that fits into and covers this opening. The plug or diaphragm has a rounded (convex) exterior surface, and may be made of a rigid or rubberized material that completely covers the opening at the tip of the sheath, and seals it closed in a smooth, flush engagement to prevent contaminants from collecting upon the tip, or entering into the sheath during the trip through the reproductive tract of the animal. Once the sheath is properly placed in the reproductive tract, application of fluid pressure to the semen inside the sheath causes the plug to move or deform without becoming detached from the sheath, thereby allowing semen inside the sheath to exit. In alternative embodiments, the unique tip with its opening and corresponding plug may be provided in a separate cap that is installed at the end of an insemination sheath.
