摘要： A method and apparatus for dehydrating sewage sludge is described. Sewage sludge is placed into a dehydration chamber. The sewage sludge is heated to convert moisture in the sewage sludge to steam and cause gasification. Steam and gases are drawn from the dehydration chamber into a condenser, where the steam is condensed to form hot water. Gases are drawn from the condenser to a burner.

摘要： A spin drier including a casing and a rotor equipped with at least one holder for a carrier, which is adapted to enclose a semiconductor material such as a silicon wafer therein, and embraced in the casing so that the semiconductor material placed on the rotor is dried by a gas stream which has been introduced through an intake port provided above the rotor, passes through the rotor and is to be exhausted through an exhaust port formed through a circumferential wall of the casing. The rotor is provided with at least three guide members on the outer section thereof, and each guide member includes a substantially vertically disposed curved surface with its convex side faced inwardly. The described holder is positioned between two guide members, to thereby guide the above described gas flow and thus prevent water, dusts and/or stains located on the bottom wall and circumferential wall of the casing from flowing back onto the semiconductor materials.

摘要： A method and apparatus is disclosed for indirectly drying and preheating fine material, in particular, moisture containing coal or the like, comprises, providing a rotary drum which is mounted for rotation and has a plurality of heating tubes extending therethrough, supplying heated cooling gas from a dry coke cooling system to the heating tubes, supplying the moist material to the drum, adjacent the bottom thereof, removing the material from the drum after it has been predried and preheated, and returning or recycling a portion of the predried and preheated material to the rotary drum. The method and apparatus utilizes the heated cooling gas used to cool dry coke in a dry coke cooling plant from high temperatures to below 200.degree. C. It has been found that such heated cooling gas for a selected amount of dry coke is useful either in a series of more than one rotary drum or, to process moist material in a single rotary drum and also generate steam as a byproduct.

摘要： Apparatus for the treatment, such as drying, freezing, crystallization of wet solids, slurries, suspensions, pulps and similar materials with heating or cooling.The apparatus is characterized by a treating body having two sections. The first section has a horizontally arranged axially flared annular treating drum rotatable around the horizontal or near-horizontal longitudinal rotation axis, and having end plates with a material feeding inlet pipe leading into the interior through one end plate, while the other end plate is provided with an opening arranged eccentrically in relation to the rotation axis. The second section of the treating body is connected rigidly and thus rotatably to the treating drum, the second section of the treating body having at least three duct-like oblong treating members leading into each other. The longitudinal axes of the treating members together form a zig-zag or similar line, and they intersect the rotation axis of the treating drum--which is the common axis of rotation of the treating drum and of the part forming the second section of the treating body and consisting of the treating members outside the treating drum.

摘要： An apparatus comprises an elongated boring bar having a cutting edge at its front end, an assembly coupled to the boring bar for reciprocally moving the boring bar axially of a rotary kiln, and an assembly for rotating the boring bar. The boring bar is advanced into the kiln with the cutting edge retracted from the kiln wall and, upon clearing the tuyere dam of the kiln, the cutting edge is brought close to the kiln wall by rotating the boring bar. The boring bar is then advanced again to scrape off and remove solid deposits from the kiln wall.

摘要： A rotary kiln comprises a rotary drum having a large number of lifters along its inner wall. The end portion of each lifter which is extended interiorly of the rotary drum is bent in the rotational direction of the rotary drum. To the end of each lifter are attached a number of chain like fittings which makes sliding movements along the inner wall surface of the rotary drum and along the upper and lower faces of each lifter in accordance with the rotation of the rotary drum. The chain like fittings so act as to prevent a substance to be dried from adhering to the inner wall of the rotary drum and to the lifters through making sliding movements in accordance with the drum rotation. Further, since the chain like fittings act to break the substance into small pieces and to release it upon dropping due to their own weights, it is dried effectively.
