摘要: Disclosed and described herein are systems and methods of energy generation from fabric electrochemistry. An electrical cell is created when electrodes (cathodes and anodes) are ‘printed’ on or otherwise embedded into fabrics to generate DC power when moistened by a conductive bodily liquid such as sweat, wound, fluid, etc. The latter acts, in turn, as the cell's electrolyte. A singular piece of fabric can be configured into multiple cells by dividing regions of the fabric with hydrophobic barriers and having at least one anode-cathode set in each region. Flexible inter-connections between the cells can be used to scale the generated power, per the application requirements.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a crosslinked polyolefin separator, including the steps of: (S1) introducing polyolefin having a weight average molecular weight of 200,000-1,000,000, a first diluting agent, alkoxysilane containing a carbon-carbon double bonded group, an initiator and a crosslinking catalyst to an extruder; (S2) introducing a second diluting agent to the extruder, followed by mixing, to carry out reactive extrusion of a silane-grafted polyolefin composition; (S3) molding and orienting the reactive extruded silane-grafted polyolefin composition in a form of a sheet; (S4) extracting the first diluting agent and the second diluting agent from the oriented sheet to obtain a silane-grafted polyolefin porous membrane; (S5) thermally fixing the porous membrane; and (S6) crosslinking the porous membrane in the presence of water and a crosslinked polyolefin separator are provided. According to the method, it is possible to provide a separator which shows a decrease in intensive silane crosslinking on the surface thereof.

摘要: This disclosure provides an electrode having a carbon-based structure with a plurality of localized reaction sites. An open porous scaffold is defined by the carbon-based structure and can confine an active material in the localized reaction sites. A plurality of engineered failure points is formed throughout the carbon-based structure and can expand in a presence of volumetric expansion associated with polysulfide shuttle. The open porous scaffold can inhibit a formation of interconnecting solid networks of the active material between the localized reaction sites. The plurality of engineered failure points can relax or collapse during an initial activation of the electrode. The open porous scaffold can define a hierarchical porous compliant cellular architecture formed of a plurality of interconnected graphene platelets fused together at substantially orthogonal angles. The hierarchical porous compliant cellular architecture can be expansion-tolerant and can expand in a presence of Li ion insertion or de-insertion.
