    摘要： A device for reversing the direction of rotation and/or for adjusting the carbon brushes for a reversible electric motor, in particular for an electric hand tool, with a base and with a mount, which is mounted pivotably on the base and on which brushholders for the carbon brushes wiping over the collector of the electric motor are arranged. The electric motor can be driven by means of power electronics, such as a pulse width controller, a phase gating controller, a phase chopping controller or the like. The power electronics are arranged on the base and/or on the mount. The device furthermore has fixed contacts and switching contacts, which interact with alternate contact-making for reversing the direction of rotation of the electric motor as the mount is pivoted.

    摘要： An apparatus for adjusting carbon brushes of a reversible electric motor includes: a swivelable support; a fixed position contact plate disposed adjacent the support; a plurality of fixed contacts received in the contact plate and adapted to be electrically connected to field windings of the electric motor; and a plurality of brush holders arranged on the support for holding the carbon brushes, each of the brush holders having a facing surface which faces the contact plate. Each of the brush holders further includes a projecting portion projecting approximately perpendicularly from the facing surface in the axial direction into a region of the fixed contacts, projecting portions of the brush holders thereby forming switching contacts for making direct contact with the fixed contacts such that the fixed contacts are adapted to be in alternate contact with the carbon brushes for reversing a direction of rotation of the electric motor when the support is swiveled. Each of the fixed contacts has a contact surface extending approximately parallel to a corresponding switching contact in the axial direction, the contact surface further having elasticity the radial direction such that the corresponding switching contact is directly urged against the contact surface in the radial direction for establishing direct electrical contact between the fixed contacts and the brush holders.

    摘要： A reversible electric motor has two pairs of brushes, a separate pair for each direction of rotation. The mean diametrical positions of the two pairs are fixed with respect to the motor's stator and angularly offset. The brushes of the one or the other pair, exclusively, are selected for application against the commutator as a function of the selected direction of rotation. Preferably a rotatable cam is arranged to lift the brushes of the non-selected pair from the commutator and insulating segments are inserted between the lifted brushes and the commutator. To simplify wiring, adjacent brushes, one from each pair, may be electrically connected together. Both pairs of brushes may advantageously be lifted from the commutator during motor reversal to eliminate risk of short-circuiting the commutator and also to interrupt supply of power thereto.
