Abstract: A vehicle roof panel assembly includes a roof panel, a seal and an head. The roof panel partially defines a rear hatch opening. The seal is fitted over a rear portion of the roof panel at a location adjacent to the rear hatch opening. The seal has a longitudinal length extending laterally across the rear portion. The bead is disposed on the rear portion of the roof panel. The bead has a longitudinal length extending laterally across the rear portion. The bead contacts the seal along the longitudinal length of the seal.

Abstract: A vehicle door assembly includes portions of a vehicle body structure that define an opening, a window and a movement mechanism. The window is movably connected to the vehicle body structure. The window is configured to move between a closed position at least partially closing the opening and an open position exposing the opening such that the window is at least partially disposed between a body member of the vehicle body structure and a trim element of the vehicle body structure. The movement mechanism has a movable member and a glass attachment structure attached to the movable member for pivotal movement with respect thereto. The movement mechanism is installed between the trim element and the body member and is configured to move the movable member and the window between the closed position and the open position.

Abstract: An end effector is disclosed that is configured for connection to a robotic unit used to manipulate a door of a vehicle (e.g., during vehicle painting). The end effector includes a base plate; a sensor that is supported by the base plate; and a piston that is configured for engagement with the door. The piston is operatively connected to an interrupter such that movement (displacement) of the piston causes corresponding movement (displacement) of the interrupter between a first position, in which the interrupter is positioned in alignment with a signal transmitted across the sensor to interfere with the signal and thereby interrupt circuit completion, and a second position, in which the interrupter is out of alignment with the signal transmitted across the sensor to permit circuit completion and thereby inform the robotic unit that the door is present and engaged with the end effector.

Thereafter, it is determined whether, during the upcoming turn, wheels of the vehicle will maintain contact with a road surface at the current speed. A braking instruction is issued to a control system of the vehicle responsive to whether the wheels of the vehicle will maintain contact with the road surface at the current speed.

Abstract: A vehicle on-board unit for a host vehicle comprises a communication system and an electronic controller. The communication system is programmed to electronically receive travel information from one or more preceding vehicles that are traveling ahead of the host vehicle in a lane. The travel information includes traveling speed of a predetermined group of preceding vehicles.
