Abstract:
A bumper mounting assembly comprises a support member mountable to a vehicle front and a bumper-carrying member hingedly mounted to the support member to be movable between an upright position and a lowered position. A primary actuator is secured to the support member and the bumper-carrying member and can apply braking force against movement of the bumper-carrying member from the upright position to the lowered position and can preferably move the bumper-carrying member from the lowered position to the upright position. One of the bumper-carrying member and the support member carries a detent and the other carries a movable latch and a latch actuator for moving the latch between an engagement position and a disengagement position, with the latch biased into the engagement position so that the latch can selectively retain the bumper-carrying member in the upright position. A system to maintain pressure in a spare tire is also described.
Abstract:
A progressive damping device for furniture is designed to prevent impacts between the mobile parts of furniture provided with self-closing systems, and provides progressive closure according to the speed and energy acquired in the closure. The damping device generally includes a cylinder in which a dynamic fluid circulates, and in the interior of which there is displaced a piston which has a rod provided with an elastoplastic valve, which delimits respective compression and expansion chambers.
Abstract:
Provided is a drawing device that is capable of generating a damping force in accordance with the strength of a biasing force of an elastic member without increasing durability. The drawing device has a linear damper 24 of which a rod is extendable relative to a damper main body and a rotary damper 25 of which a rotation axis is rotatable relative to the damper main body. When a slider 14 of a drawing device main body 4 moves relative to a base 12 of the drawing device main body 4 in the longitudinal direction by the biasing force of the elastic member 15, first, the linear damper 24 starts to operate thereby generating the damping force, then, the linear damper 24 is switched with the rotary damper 25 and the rotary damper 25 starts to operate thereby generating the damping force.
Abstract:
In a dishwasher of the built-in type comprising a door (12) which is tillable about a generally horizontal axis (A), the door comprising means for fixing a decor panel (14), said dishwasher further comprising means (24) for biasing the door towards the closed position and dampening means (26) for dampening the closing of the door, the dampening means is or can be adapted for dampening the closing of the door in the undecorated state of the door.
Abstract:
A magnetic gate latch has a multiplicity of permanent magnets arranged on a pair of disks with half of the magnets in mutual attraction and half of the magnets in mutual repulsion. These magnetic forces are used to brake and close a gate or door. One of the disks is made axially movable with respect to the other so as to assume mutual repulsion in one position and mutual attraction in a second position. The movable disk is attached to a gate or door closing member and the other disk is attached to the closing structure post or jamb. Magnetic forces in the repulsion position are used in the invention to reverse the movable disk from a mutual repulsion position to a mutual attraction position.
Abstract:
A washing machine according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a top cover where a laundry entrance hole is formed through which laundry is put in from above; a lid assembly coupled to the top cover in a rotatable manner and opening and closing the laundry entrance hole; a first hinge connecting the top cover and the lid assembly; and a cam being installed in the first hinge and preventing the lid assembly from being rotated more than a maximum opening angle.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hinge damper and, more particularly, to a hinge damper that is configured to be adhered to a door hinge of the furniture having a door to attenuate impact and is designed in a small size but to attenuate a large amount of impact. In a hinge damper of the present invention, first and second seals are formed in an oil seal to prevent air from being introduced. A cross rib is formed on a piston to absorb a larger amount of impact with a small size. According to the present invention, the hinge damper can be small-sized while attenuating impact the present invention has been made. In addition, the hinge damper does not affect on the size of the hinge. Further, since the hinge damper can be identically sized to a screw used for fixing the hinge, it is not exposed to an external side.
Abstract:
A closure assembly for a vehicle pivotable between a closed position and a full open position, and a method of controlling its movement includes a closure, a hinge mechanism attached to the closure, and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a damper actuator and a pneumatic closure damper, with the closure damper including a hollow bellows extending from a support base, an orifice and an end opposite the support base. The damper actuator is attached to the hinge mechanism and the support base is attached to the body structure such that the damper actuator is spaced from the end when the closure is in the closed position and the damper actuator is in contact with the end and compresses the bellows when the closure is in the full open position.
Abstract:
A hinge for wings or doors, in particular of electrical appliances, having a first element, a second element and a rocker lever for connecting the first and second elements; the lever pivots on the second element and has a first arm integral with the first element to render the first and second elements movable relative to one another with a tilting action between a closed position and an open position; the second element consisting of a substantially box-shaped body containing both elastic parts, inserted between the second element and a second arm of the lever to apply an elastic action on the lever, and a damping device, for applying a damping action on the lever during the reciprocal motion of the first and second elements, when the closed position is almost reached.
Abstract:
Damping device (10), in particular for damping the motion of movable furniture parts of pieces of furniture, with a piston mounted in a housing (12) in a longitudinally displaceable manner which, in accordance with the displacement position thereof, forms two variable-size working chambers on opposite sides that are filled with a fluidic damping medium. Via at least one overflow-connection, a throttled transfer of the damping medium is possible between the two working chambers, wherein a piston plunger (28), fed in a sealed manner out of the assigned front-facing end of the housing (12), is connected on one side of the piston (14), and wherein via the outer end of said piston plunger (28), facing away from the piston, the motion of the furniture part to be damped is transferred to the piston (14). On the side of the piston (14) opposite the working chamber (26) on the piston plunger side, an elongated adjustment shaft (38) is connected with a diameter essentially corresponding to the diameter of the piston plunger (28), the free end of which is also fed in a sealed manner out of the front face lying opposite the front face that is sealed on the piston plunger side, out of the housing (12). The end of the adjustment shaft (38) connected to the piston (14) engages with a passage duct (42) connecting the two working chambers of the piston (14) and is constructed in such a way as to form a variable-sized throttle cross section in the passage duct (42) by making an adjusting motion of the shaft (38) relative to the piston (14).
