Abstract:
A connecting-device for a switchgear apparatus, includes: tulip-cluster-portions for electrically engaging with a contact-stud-element; a mounting-end-part for the mechanical connection to a pole-terminal, and conductive-transmitting-portions for transmitting electrical current from the contact-stud-element to the pole-terminal, each of the conductive-transmitting-portions extending from the respective tulip-cluster-portion to a respective base-portion of the mounting-end-part. The tulip-cluster-portions with the respective conductive-transmitting-portions and with the respective base-portions are integral with one other so as to define respective single-piece-portions.
Abstract:
A modular converter having a plurality of converter modules for converting an input voltage into an output voltage to be supplied to a load by receiving a control input reference vector, a control input vector and a control input parameter vector; determining a control output reference vector from the control input reference vector, the control input vector and the control input parameter vector in a first control stage; and controlling the converter modules by generating switching signals based on the control output reference vector in a further control stage.
Abstract:
A rotor as disclosed for an electric machine which includes a rotor core having a plurality of rotor sheets stacked in an axial direction, each of the plurality of rotor sheets having a plurality of flux paths made of a material of high permeance, a plurality of flux barriers made of a material of low permeance, a plurality of bridges made of a material of high permeance, each of the plurality of bridges extending across a corresponding flux barrier, and at least one axial magnet located axially adjacent a corresponding bridge and configured to saturate the corresponding bridge, each axial magnet being axially pressed between two elements at least one of which is a bridge corresponding to the axial magnet.
Abstract:
Methods for managing an electrical power substation based on enhanced estimation of the substation's reliability, using statistical reliability data for substation components. An example method comprises obtaining statistical reliability data for each of a plurality of components in the electrical power substation, obtaining component condition assessment data for each of one or more of the plurality of components in the electrical power substation, and adjusting the statistical reliability data for each of one or more of the plurality of components for which component condition assessment data has been obtained, based on the corresponding condition assessment data. A substation reliability model is then computed, based on at least the adjusted statistical reliability data.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments are directed to use of transparent transmission of teleprotection commands in the form of GOOSE or GSSE messages, as defined by the Generic Substation Event class model by the standard IEC 61850, between substations combined with Channel Supervision and Monitoring equivalent to CSM offered by known teleprotection equipment. This approach avoids the disadvantage of non-transparent transmission when using the gateway approach and of the lack of the CSM functionality when using the tunnelling approach.
Abstract:
A gas insulated switching device with a gastight housing, with switching elements mounted in the housing, having an optical window on which an external camera can be positioned outside the housing on a support element in such, that the contacts and/or the contact positions of one or more switches can be displayed by this camera on a display screen, and with a switchable light source, which illuminates the area the camera is focused on to display the contact positions of one or more switches, as well as a camera system having the switching device. For easier and more cost effective use of a camera system, considering that direct optical control of specific switch positions are often not desired, the camera may be portable and/or positionable only temporarily, and the support element and the camera itself are provided with complementary elements for temporarily positioning the portable camera to the support.
Abstract:
There is set forth herein an actuator having a housing and a piston assembly. The piston assembly can have a piston and a piston rod extending from the piston. In one embodiment, the housing can receive the piston and a portion of the piston rod. The piston assembly can define a piston assembly interior and a fluid reservoir can be located within the piston assembly interior. A chamber region within the interior of the housing can be separated by the piston assembly to define a piston side chamber and rod side chamber. The piston assembly can be moveable so that respective volumes of each of the piston side chamber and the rod side chamber are variable. For operation of the actuator by movement of the piston assembly within the interior of the housing, fluid can be moved between the reservoir and the chamber region.
Abstract:
An electrically insulating shell is disclosed, which includes a first half shell and a second half shell devised to be mutually connected together and shaped so as to define, once connected together, a central part delimiting a substantially closed space, which will encase a corresponding first portion of an associated electrical conductor. A first hollow portion protrudes from a first side of the central part, the first hollow portion being in communication with an inner space of the closed central part and adapted to surround a corresponding second portion of the electrical conductor. A second hollow portion protrudes from the central part from a second side opposite to the first side, the second hollow portion being in communication with the inner space of the closed central part and adapted to surround a corresponding third portion of the electrical conductor.
Abstract:
A computer implemented system and method of coating a workpiece includes moving a coating applicator mounted to a coating dispensing robot relative to a workpiece and moving a mask mounted to a masking robot relative to the workpiece, wherein the mask is positioned between the coating applicator and the workpiece. A portion of the coating dispensed by the applicator is deposited on the workpiece, and another portion is intercepted by and deposited onto the mask. A desired pattern of coating can be deposited by moving the mask or dispenser or both in a coordinated manner.
