Abstract: A valve may have a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The valve may include a valve stem having a lumen extending from a first opening at a proximal portion of the valve stem to a second opening at a distal end of the valve stem. A plurality of seals may be positioned relative to the valve stem. The valve stem and seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet is prevented from flowing to the outlet in a first position of the valve stem and relative to the inlet and the outlet. The valve stem and the seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet flows to the outlet in a second position of the valve stem relative to the inlet and the outlet, the second position being more distal than the first position relative to the inlet and the outlet.

Abstract: A medical device system may include an elongate shaft having a lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end, a proximal release wire, and a distal release wire. The proximal release wire may extend distally from a proximal end configured to remain outside the body to a distal end and may be slidably disposed within the lumen of the elongate shaft. The distal release wire may extend distally from a proximal end to a distal end and may be slidably disposed within the lumen of the elongate shaft. The proximal end of the distal release wire may be slidably coupled to the distal end of the proximal release wire. The distal release wire may be configured to releasably attach a medical device to the distal end of the elongate shaft.

Abstract: A device may include a first portion coupled to a shaft of an insertable medical device. The first portion may extend along a first portion longitudinal axis between a proximal end and a distal end. The first portion may include a protrusion extending radially outwardly of the first portion longitudinal axis. At least a portion of the first portion may be received within a lumen of a second portion. The second portion may be axially moveable along the first portion longitudinal axis relative to the first portion. The second portion may include a longitudinally extending channel. A spring may be located radially between the first portion and the second portion.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for electroporation ablation therapy are disclosed, with a protection device for isolating electronic circuitry, devices, and/or other components from a set of electrodes during a cardiac ablation procedure. A system can include a first set of electrodes disposable near cardiac tissue of a heart and a second set of electrodes disposable in contact with patient anatomy. The system can further include a signal generator configured to generate a pulse waveform, where the signal generator coupled to the first set of electrodes and configured to repeatedly deliver the pulse waveform to the first set of electrodes. The system can further include a protection device configured to selectively couple and decouple an electronic device to the second set of electrodes.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to monitoring one or more physiological parameters of a subject using a multilayer wearable device. In an embodiment, a multilayer wearable device is configured to be attached to a subject. The multilayer wearable device comprises a substrate having multiple layers including a first portion connected to a second portion. The first portion has a first side and a second, opposite side. And the second portion has a first side and a second, opposite side. The first side of the first portion is configured to be attached to the subject and the second portion is arranged on top of the first portion such that the first side of the second portion is disposed adjacent the second side of the first portion. And, the wearable device includes one or more electrical components configured to sense a physiological parameter of the subject.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating display of cardiac information based on sensed electrical signals include a processing unit configured to receive a set of electrical signals; receive an indication of a measurement location corresponding to each electrical signal of the set of electrical signals; and generate an activation histogram corresponding to the set of electrical signals. Systems and methods disclosed herein may be configured to automatically identify activation histograms exhibiting split characteristics, and to facilitate presentation, on a display device, of a cardiac map including highlighted regions corresponding to the identified activation histograms.
