An exemplary method for calibrating a current transducer of the Rogowski type including a Rogowski coil sensor and an electronic device is performed by determining and correcting the sensitivity of the current transducer of the Rogowski type through the measurement of the self-inductance LRCCT of the coil using the electronic device.
Abstract:
A hydraulic valve for connecting a first fluid-conducting pressure line to a second fluid-conducting pressure line in an actuator for activating a high- or medium-voltage circuit breaker includes a housing with a first channel inlet for attachment to the first pressure line, and with a second channel inlet for attachment to the second pressure line, and a cavity situated between the first and the second channel inlet. The hydraulic valve includes a sealing body which can move in the cavity and has a circumference which is greater, at least at one point, than the respective circumference of openings adjoining the cavity, of the first and the second channel inlets. The sealing body is geometrically matched to the cross-section of these openings to completely seal the openings when seated. First and second spring elements connected to the sealing body project into the cavity in the relaxed state.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an uninterruptable power supply system (100) comprising a first AC source (108) providing three-phase AC power via a four-wire AC-power supply line (112); a DC source (110) providing DC power via a DC power supply line (114), and a power converter (102) receiving AC power from the first AC source (108) and/or DC power from the DC source (110) and delivering two wire DC power to a load (118) via a DC output line (116), whereby one pole of the DC output line (116) is connected to the neutral reference of the four-wire AC-power supply line (112), the uninterruptable power supply system (100) further comprises a bypass device (142) for passing power from its output side (106) to the DC output line (116), whereby the bypass device (142) and the power converter (102) are connected in parallel to the DC output line (116), and the bypass device (142) comprises at least one switching unit (144), which receives AC power at its input side, and a control unit (138), whereby the switching unit (144) is controlled by the control unit (138) to supply pulsed power from an AC power supply with essentially the same polarity as the DC output line (116). The present invention also provides a method for realizing a bypass in the above uninterruptable power supply system (100).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a circuit breaker comprising a first and a second contact assembly, wherein one of the contact assemblies comprises contact fingers arranged in a finger cage configuration and the other contact assembly comprises a tube or rod contact. The contact fingers comprise an impact point where the tube or rod, impacts the contact fingers for the first time during electrical connection establishment, and a contact zone which contacts the tube or rod when the electrical connection is established. The contact zone comprises two contact points separated from one another and arranged on a line which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A high-power semiconductor module is disclosed, which can include a high-power semiconductor device mounted on the module and at least two electrical connections. The module can include a short-circuit device mounted on the module. The short-circuit device can generate a persistent electrically conducting path between the two electrical connections upon receiving a trigger signal by electrically destroying a semiconductor of the high-power semiconductor module.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for controlling an uninterrupted power supply system comprising multiple converters and a control device, whereby the multiple converters are connected in parallel between a power supply side and a load side of the uninterrupted power supply system, each converter is provided to be individually activated by the control device to provide power from the power supply side to the load side, comprising the steps of determining a system load level at the load side of the uninterruptable power supply system, determining a number of required active converters based on the system load level and a system efficiency depending on the number of active converters, and activating the number of required converters based on the above determination.
