Abstract:
In an original pressing plate hinge including a fixing member, an original pressing plate supporting member pivotably installed via a hinge pin to the fixing member, a slider slidably housed in the supporting member, a cam member fixed between the slider and the free end of the supporting member in contact with the slider, and a coil spring provided resiliently between the slider and the free end of the supporting member, the cam member is omitted to prevent an original or document set on the platen glass for copying or printing from being stained with or spoiled by a lubricant when the original touches the cam member to which the lubricant sticks, and instead a pressure receiving pinis used and a cam slider is used in place of the slider. To prevent a heavy original pressing plate from abruptly falling, a fluid damping member is housed in the coil spring and disposed between the cam slider and the top plate or free end of the supporting member.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an air-controlled damper which attenuates the motion of movable components. Sealing between the movable components is effected by a separation means which is fixed to the cylinder and the piston in the hollow space of the cylinder.

To prevent a heavy original pressing plate from abruptly falling, a damping member is housed in the coil spring and disposed between the cam slider and the top plate or free end of the supporting member.
Abstract:
The present finding relates to a closing device for sliding portions of pieces of furniture, such as drawers and the like, consisting of a container fastened to the fixed or to the sliding portion of the piece of furniture wherein there are housed a mechanical energy accumulator and an actuation member that is sliding into a guide of the container, and of a pulling member, respectively fastened to the other side of the piece of furniture, which interacts with the actuation member. The actuation member is directly or indirectly slowed in its movement by a deceleration device based on the use of high-viscosity greases.
Abstract:
A restraint mechanism for limiting the angular rotation of a first and a second component which move about a common hinge comprising a restraining arm adapted to extend along a portion of the first component in the direction of the hinge and having a change of direction away from the hinge, and an attachment member for attaching the restraint mechanism to said first component.
Abstract:
A door opening device for a food storage apparatus such as a household refrigerator includes a generally cylindrical coil unit mounted on a body of the storage apparatus and having an axially extending through hole, a plunger mounted in the hole of the coil unit so as to be axially moved with respect to the coil unit, the plunger being moved in a direction when the coil unit is energized, and a pushing member mounted on one axial end of the plunger so as to be moved with the plunger, the pushing member pushing the door in an opening direction against an attractive force of the magnet gasket when moved in the one direction with the plunger.
Abstract:
The door stopper of the present invention is of a construction such that a door contacting member fitted into a guide cylinder sunk vertically into the floor is allowed to be set in two positions, in a door contacting state in which it protrudes from the floor and in a housed state in which the top is substantially level with the floor. According to this construction, the floor is able to be substantially flat when the door stopper is not in use so that it does not become an obstruction to floor polishers and wheelchairs.
Abstract:
A retarding device insertable between two members connected to rotate relatively about a hinge axis, and which opposes and so retards such rotation in predetermined manner; the device having: a substantially cylindrical support carried integrally by a first of the rotationally connected members and substantially coaxial with the hinge axis; a coil spring fitted interferentially to the support and terminating with two opposite radial arms projecting towards a second of said members connected to each other for relative rotation; and a retaining seat carried integrally by the second member and on which the arms of the spring rest, on opposite sides, and are stressed by the second member, as a consequence of the aforementioned relative rotation, to deform the spring in such a direction as to reduce the interference with which the spring is fitted to the support.
Abstract:
A door closer assembly and a method for operating a door closer assembly. The door closer assembly includes a housing and a door piston guided in the housing. The door piston is operably connected to move a door. A spring piston is guided in the housing and is operable to assist movement of the door piston toward a door closing position. The spring piston is situated in the housing and is acted upon by a spring. The door closer assembly also includes a hydraulic control circuit containing hydraulic fluid which is operable to selectively eliminate a coupling of the door piston and the spring piston from one another during a portion of the travel path of the door piston in the housing. The door closer of the present invention improves the comfort of passing through a door by providing different transmission ratios and therefore, different moment curves.
Abstract:
A door hinge assembly with a damper mechanism composing a cylindrical housing with caps on both ends, a shaft eccentrically mounted on the cylindrical body, and two plates mounted on the shaft. Two chambers are constructed with the above arrangement and both chambers are filled with oil-hydraulic fluid. When the shaft rotates with respective to the cylindrical body, one of the two chambers is compressed. With means of communicating the two chambers, a desirable dampening force is obtained. Bias spring(s) can be incorporated into this door hinge assembly to provide closing force, so this assembly functions as a door closer.
