摘要: The present invention provides, inter alia, methods for treating or ameliorating the effects of a disease, such as cancer in a subject. The methods include: administering to a subject in need thereof (a) a therapeutically effective amount of a molecularly targeted agent; and (b) a therapeutically effective amount of a monoclonal antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, wherein the monoclonal antibody contains: (i) a heavy chain variable region (VH), which includes an amino acid sequence selected from SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:3, SEQ ID NO:5, and SEQ ID NO:7; and (ii) a light chain variable region (VL), which includes an amino acid sequence selected from SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:6, and SEQ ID NO:8. Compositions, including pharmaceutical compositions, and kits for treating diseases, such as cancer, are also provided herein.

摘要: Antibodies that specifically bind TEM8 protein, conjugates thereof, and their use, are disclosed herein. In some examples the conjugates and antibodies are useful for methods of detecting and treating pathogenic angiogenesis. In other examples the conjugates and antibodies are useful for methods of detecting and treating cancer. In additional examples, the conjugates and antibodies are useful for methods of decreasing binding of Anthrax protective antigen to a cell.

摘要: The present invention provides, inter alia, methods for treating or ameliorating the effects of a glioma. Methods of this invention include administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a first active agent, such as e.g., an angiotensin receptor blocker, an antifungal agent, a bisphosphonate, an oxytocin inhibitor, an interleukin-1 (IL-1) inhibitor, a cyclooxygenase inhibitor, an α2δ voltage-dependent calcium channel (VDCC) inhibitor, a dihydroorotate dehydrogenase inhibitor, a calcium channel blocker, a renal sodium-chloride symporter inhibitor, an a2 adrenergic agonist, a phenothiazine antipsychotic, a calcineurin inhibitor, a 5-HT agonist, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, a direct rennin inhibitor, or combinations thereof, and a second active agent, which is a chemotherapeutic agent. Compositions for treating or ameliorating the effects of a glioma are also provided.

摘要: The present invention provides, inter alia, methods for treating or ameliorating an effect of a solid tumor present in a non-human animal. These methods include administering intratumorally to the non-human animal a unit dose of C. novyi, preferably C. novyi NT, colony forming units (CFUs), which contains about 1×106-1×1010 CFUs suspended in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or solution. Methods for debulking a solid tumor present in a non-human animal, a method for microscopically precise excision of tumor cells in a non-human animal, methods for treating or ameliorating an effect of a solid tumor that has metastasized to one or more sites in a non-human animal, methods for ablating a solid tumor present in a non-human animal, unit doses of C. novyi, preferably C. novyi NT, CFUs, and kits for treating or ameliorating an effect of a solid tumor present in a non-human animal are also provided.
