    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for operating a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, wherein the vehicle comprises at least one infotainment system with at least one first display region. The vehicle also comprises at least one instrument cluster with at least one second display region. The infotainment system comprises a software component, wherein information relating to driver assistance systems can be shown in the first display region of the infotainment system. To update the infotainment system while maintaining a driving operation of the vehicle simultaneously, it is provided that the information relating to the driver assistance systems is shown in the second display region of the instrument cluster when the software component of the infotainment system is being updated.

    Abstract: A lighting device for a motor vehicle, having at least one light guide, which is formed planar, and having at least one illuminant. Light rays from the illuminant can be coupled or are coupled into the light guide via a light incoupling surface assigned to the light guide.     Abstract: Disclosed are methods and devices for autonomous movement of a vehicle in optimized dynamic driving state. A method comprises: detecting environmental data of a vehicle; calculations of a first travel path of the vehicle to a destination, and calculations of a vehicle state at at least one point of this travel path; detecting a driving instruction of a driver; determining a correlation value based on the driving instruction and the precalculated travel path and/or the precalculated vehicle state; checking whether the correlation value falls below a critical limit value; and if the correlation value falls below a critical limit value, converting a data point detected that is characteristic of the state and/or the driving instruction of the driver into a control signal. The control signal then may energize the vehicle on a second travel path leading to the same destination, wherein the vehicle adopts a stable vehicle state.

    Abstract: Approaches, techniques, and mechanisms are disclosed for range data compression. According to one embodiment, a current range data frame for a current time point is generated. Each current range data cell in the current range data frame includes current ranges representing points in a point cloud in a 3D space for the current time point. Accumulated prior ranges in an accumulated prior range buffer are propagated from a prior time point to the current time point. Current ranges in the current range data frame are compared with the propagated accumulated prior ranges to determine range differences between the current ranges and the propagated accumulated prior ranges. A proper subset of current ranges in the set of current ranges is identified based on the range difference. The proper subset of current ranges is included in a range data signal excluding other current ranges not in the proper subset.
