摘要: Access services are dynamically allocated for processing received data traffic by creating routing information for data traffic associated with a particular subscriber, subscriber equipment and/or network address information. The routing information identifies services that the data traffic can be subjected to and the order in which the services are provided. When an attached request is received, appropriate services for the requesting subscriber are retrieved from a database based on particular identifying information which may include the identification of the subscriber, subscriber equipment, network address or other information. The services are organized in a routing path and the allocated network address and the routing path are transferred to a smart router. Data traffic, associated with the allocated network address is then routed through servers to provide the identified services.

摘要: Described embodiments provide for controlling a state of each node in a scheduling hierarchy of a network processor. A traffic manager generates a tree scheduling hierarchy having a root scheduler and N scheduler levels. The network processor generates tasks corresponding to received packets. A traffic manager enqueues received tasks in a queue of the scheduling hierarchy associated with a data flow. The traffic manager maintains scheduling data structures for each node in the scheduling hierarchy. The scheduling data structures include a backpressure indicator and a timer indicator. If the backpressure indicator is set, the traffic manager sets the node as unavailable for scheduling and removes the node from the scheduling hierarchy. If the timer indicator is set, the traffic managers sets the node as unavailable for scheduling. Otherwise, if neither the backpressure indicator nor the timer indicator is set, the traffic manager sets the node as available for scheduling.

摘要: Straight run bitumen is widely used in the production of built-structure waterproofing systems, more particularly waterproofing membranes. In order to be able to obtain supplies of straight run bitumen wherever it is obtainable at favorable prices, it would have to be transported over relatively long distances. Since straight run bitumen is viscid at ambient temperature, it would have to be transported hot, which is not possible with conventional straight run bitumen. According to the invention, the straight run bitumen is admixed with a small proportion of at least one hydrocarbonaceous polymer. This solidifies straight run bitumen at ambient temperatures, making it transportable cold in the solid state.

摘要: A system, method and configuration for recovering turpentine during the manufacturing of wood chips, wood pellets or other substances that may include turpentine. In general, a turpentine recovery system is used to capture turpentine from exhaust of a dryer as wood chips are being dried. Advantageously, application of the various techniques disclosed herein can result in the recovery of turpentine that can then be sold to generate revenue and, may contribute to a reduction in the capital and operation costs for emission controls for the dryer exhaust.

摘要: A RAID system is provided in which, in the event that a rebuild is to be performed for one of the PDs, a filter driver of the operating system of the computer of the RAID system informs the RAID controller of the RAID system of addresses in the virtual memory that are unused. Unused virtual memory addresses are those which have never been written by the OS as well as those which have been written by the OS and subsequently freed by the OS. The RAID controller translates the unused virtual memory addresses into unused physical addresses. The RAID controller then reconstructs data and parity only for the unused physical addresses in the PD for which the rebuild is being performed. This reduces the amount of data and parity that are rebuilt during a rebuild process and reduces the amount of time that is required to perform the rebuild process. In addition, the RAID system is capable of being configured to prevent or reduce data sprawl.

摘要: Requests for communications and for establishing communication sessions with an intended addressee are detected and notifications regarding the pending communication request are provided to the intended addressee. If the addressee is operating on-line in an IP environment, the messages are delivered to the addressee via a real-time mechanism. However, if the addressee is not operating on-line in an IP environment, a message is sent via an alternate means, such as SMS, email etc. For on-line addressees, if the addressee is presently running an application program, the type of application program can be ascertained and the notification message can be compatible with the rendering functions of the application program.

摘要: A system, method and apparatus to enable addressable advertising content delivery in which multiple addressable content streams are sent in a transport multiplex, Addressable Content Channel Multiplex, different from the Primary Channel Multiplex on which the Primary Channel is delivered. The Primary Channel is network stream onto which the addressable content is to be inserted. Seamless switch between the Primary Channel and the addressable content streams on the Addressable Content Channel Multiplex is accomplished by using Receiver stored content as interim buffers to which the switching happens prior to switching to a different transport multiplex. These buffers feed the audio and video decoders with content, during the time it takes for the tuner to switch to a different transport multiplex. Pre-roll and Post-roll content buffers are used during switching, one from Primary Channel Multiplex to Addressable Content Channel Multiplex and from Addressable Content Channel Multiplex to Primary Channel Multiplex.

摘要: A circuit is proposed by means of which a ceramic component having two electrodes can be provided with a uniform, but periodically alternating BIAS voltage. The component has properties dependent on the level of the BIAS voltage and, for the purpose of an increased service life, is connected to a generator for generating a BIAS voltage and to means for periodically reversing the polarity of the BIAS voltage present at the electrodes. In a method for operating the component having variable properties, a uniform BIAS voltage, the polarity of which is periodically reversed, however, is applied to the electrodes, and the service life of the component is thus increased.
