The EVSE includes a plurality of power stages, each configured for providing electrical energy to charge the electrical vehicle, and each comprising a Y-capacitance, at least one outlet configured for connecting the electrical vehicle to at least one of the power stages for charging the electrical vehicle.     Abstract: A system and method for a liquid cooled cable arrangement for high-power fast charging of electric vehicles includes a charging connector and a liquid cooled charging cable. The cable comprises several insulated positive and negative conductors for supplying charging current, an inner fluid channel and an outer fluid channel surrounding the inner fluid channel. The positive and negative conductors are arranged within the inner fluid channel. The charging connector includes at least a positive contact electrically connected to the positive conductors by a first connecting element, and a negative contact electrically connected to the negative conductors by a second connecting element. The first and second connecting elements include a thermally conductive and electrically conductive material and are electrically isolated from each other. The first and second connecting elements are thermally connected to the inner and outer fluid channels.

    Abstract: A charging cable includes a ground conductor and extending in a longitudinal direction, at least two heavy-current power wires for conducting positive and negative direct current, each comprising a power conductor and insulation, the heavy-current power wires extending parallel to the ground wire, a liquid tight inner sheath extending in the longitudinal direction and surrounding the heavy-current power wires to define a first hollow area between and around the heavy-current power wires, liquid coolant being provided between the heavy-current power wires along the longitudinal direction, wherein the liquid tight inner sheath comprises a second hollow area extending in the longitudinal direction, arranged adjacent to at least one of the heavy-current power wires and comprising liquid coolant to flow within the second hollow area, and a liquid tight outer sheath extending in the longitudinal direction and surrounding the inner sheath and the ground heavy-current wire.

    Abstract: In one aspect, a method of managing a participation of a virtual power plant (VPP) comprising a plurality of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) in an ancillary service market for an electric grid is provided. The method comprises generating a bid for participating in the ancillary service marked over a time period, transmitting the bid to the ancillary service market, receiving a response from the ancillary service market indicating that the bid was accepted, and identifying a request from the ancillary service market for the VPP to provide grid support to the electric grid during the time period. The method further comprises generating, based on the bid and in response to the request, at least one charging profile for one or more of the EVSEs, and providing the at least one charging profile to the one or more of the EVSEs to implement the request for grid support.
