摘要: The present invention relates to woven tubular nanotextiles, fabrication thereof using a weaving apparatus, and use thereof in vascular graft applications. The woven nanotextile conduit is 0.1 to 50 mm in diameter and includes a multitude of hierarchically arranged nanofibers. They are made from low strength bundled nanoyarns containing thousands of nanofibers with improved mechanical strength. The weaving apparatus interweaves the warp and weft yarns in longitudinal and transverse directions, resulting in a flexible and strong woven product. The physical and biological properties of the woven nanotextile were significantly enhanced when compared to non-woven nanofibrous form and conventional medical textiles. The nanotextile displayed superhydrophilic behavior in an otherwise hydrophobic material and when implanted as a vascular graft was robust, suturable, kink-proof and non-thrombogenic, with complete endothelialization of the graft luminal area.

摘要: A composite implant for providing simultaneous magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomographic (CT) imaging contrast is disclosed. The composite implant is formed of a calcium compound in the form of nano or microparticles doped with a first dopant configured to provide MRI contrast and a second dopant configured to provide CT contrast. The calcium compound is loaded onto a polymer gel matrix and lyophilized to form a mass with 3-dimensionally interconnected porosity, configured to provide tissue integration and proliferation sites. Methods of forming the composite implant are also disclosed. The implant could be a scaffold or bead structured to enable treatment of human or animal patient for bone/cartilage injury or defect by implantation, with MRI and CT monitoring.

The video data from the camera on the drone is displayed on the display screen of the remote control station, and an operator viewing the display screen operates the input mechanisms, maneuvering the drone to position the cutting implement relative to produce in the tree, and triggers the cutting implement by command, severing a stem to separate the produce, causing the produce to fall from the tree.

摘要: A solar monitoring system for measuring solar radiation intensity comprising a tracking unit having two-axis movement comprising, an image capturing head mounted with first and second irradiation measuring units, and a controller. The first irradiation measuring unit comprises a direct normal irradiance (DNI) sensor and the second irradiation measuring unit includes a diffuse horizontal irradiance (DHI) sensor and a global horizontal irradiance (GHI) sensor. The controller receives inputs from the sensors or a software program configured to control orientation of the image capturing head so that the DNI sensor is always exposed to the sun, and the shading disc is always directly between the DHI sensor and the sun.

The viewpoints and audio feeds to all of the headsets are controlled such that the students directly interacting see and hear one another directly, and the remainder of the headsets see and hear one or the other of the directly-engaged students according to which student is speaking.

摘要: The disclosure provides for a lab-on-a-chip (LOC) device and a method of fabrication thereof. Additionally, a system and a method for point of care testing of multiple biomarkers such as glucose, cholesterol, creatinine, uric acid, and bilirubin is provided. The microfluidic assembly consists of three layers in which the top and the middle layers are made up of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and the bottom layer with polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The device integrates screen printed non-enzymatic electrochemical sensors in the bottom layer for simultaneous detection of glucose, cholesterol, creatinine, uric acid, and bilirubin. A hand held potentiostat with readout enables readout for the point of care application of integrated sensing device. The device developed has potential to revamp healthcare by providing access to affordable technology for better management a diabetes and related complications at every door step.

摘要: A method and system for automatically optimizing task allocation in heterogeneous computing systems is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of target processing elements and a host processor. The host processor is configured to receive one or more requests from one or more applications for task allocation. During compilation, a virtualizer extracts parameters of kernels of the one or more applications and receives the architectures of the plurality of target processing elements. The virtualizer comprises a device conformability module and a mapping module. The device conformability module provides a prediction on execution time of the kernels for each of the architectures based on the parameters. The mapping module compares the predictions and indicates a ranking of the plurality of target processing elements based on least execution time for each of the kernels and determines a combination of the plurality of target processing elements based on the mapping prediction to optimize the task allocation.
