摘要: A method for determining a narcotic in a mixture comprising at least one interferant. The method comprises: (a) determining a voltage at which, in absence of the interferant, a voltammetric signal of the narcotic can be detected; (b) contacting an electrode with the mixture comprising the at least one interferant and potentially comprising the narcotic; (c) applying a pretreatment potential to the electrode for a duration of at least 5 seconds, the pretreatment potential measuring between −0.4 V and −2 V versus Ag/AgCl; (d) measuring a voltammetric response of the mixture, the measurement comprising at least the determined voltage; and (e) determining whether the narcotic is present in the mixture by analyzing whether the voltammetric signal of the narcotic, resolved from a voltammetric signal of the interferant, can be detected in the measured voltammetric response.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to an electrochemical sensor for simultaneous detection of dopamine and serotonin including an electrode containing a reduced graphene oxide (rGO), poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), and Nafion, wherein the sensor has high interfacial conductivity and electrocatalytic properties and further improves the negatively charged electrode interface, thereby enabling high sensitivity selective measurement of dopamine and serotonin. In addition, since the sensor according to the present disclosure is stable for a long time and has high reproducibility, it can be used for clinical diagnosis of various brain and neurological diseases, drug treatment, biological research using changes in the concentration of neurotransmitters, and biochip application fields.

摘要: A method of determining the presence of bacteria expressing cytochrome c oxidase (‘the bacteria’), the method comprising: —providing a sample suspected of containing the bacteria; —providing a compound that has two redox states: a reduced state and an oxidised state, wherein cytochrome c oxidase can convert the compound from its reduced state to its oxidised state; —contacting an electrode either with (i) the compound in its oxidised state in the presence of the sample, then applying a reductive potential and measuring the current at the electrode; or (ii) the compound in its reduced state in the presence of the sample, then applying an oxidative potential and measuring the current at the electrode; and—comparing the magnitude of the current produced by the reductive potential or oxidative potential in the presence of the sample suspected of containing the bacteria with the magnitude of the current produced under the same conditions, but in the absence of the sample suspected of containing the bacteria, wherein a difference between the magnitude of current produced in the presence of the sample suspected of containing the bacteria and the magnitude of current produced in the absence of the sample suspected of containing the bacteria indicates the presence of the bacteria. Also provided herein is a sensor for determining the presence of bacteria expressing cytochrome c oxidase.

摘要: A method and sensing system for the determination per and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) is disclosed, wherein the probe is based on measurement of the redox activity of a redox indicator. The method includes adding a PFAS compound to an indicator solution, gel, 3D printed object, electrode or a sensing surface containing and measuring the change in the indicator signal as a function of PFAS concentration. Further provided is a portable sensor for rapid monitoring of the presence and PFAS concentrations. The present invention includes deposition of the indicator component within a method, assay, apparatus and sensing platform. Further provided is a composite electrode and sensor with binding and signaling activity for a broad range of PFAS, as well as printing ink compositions that incorporate the redox indicator.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for functionalising a cellulose support with metal nanoparticles comprising the steps of: depositing on the cellulose support a single aqueous solution containing the metal precursor in the form of acid or salt in a concentration from 1 to 6 mM; and placing the cellulose support at a temperature from 65° C. to 80° C. for a time from 10 to 40 minutes. The present invention also relates to a method for producing an electroanalytical sensor comprising said functionalised cellulose support with electrocatalytic and concentration properties of the metal marker at the working electrode and to a method for producing the electroanalytical sensor.
